Proclaim freezing while playing video backgrounds.

Our church is trying to use motion backgrounds within Proclaim for our worship segment but it freezes randomly. It does this on our church computer and my home computer. When it freezes I have to open task manager and kill Proclaim through the "Processes" tab as the "Applications" tab will not kill it. This has led to several embarrassing incident of Proclaim freezing during praise and worship and having no words on the screen for the congregation while we restart. It's a random occurence and some weeks it doesnt happen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest trying disabling hardware acceleration via the post I referenced above; if this works and the motion backgrounds work correctly, then we can narrow it down to being a Video Card Driver issue. At this point, I would suggest to make sure that all drivers are up to date. I would also suggest checking AMD's website for the driver update since they will have the most recent one.

I have been having the same issues with our system. Proclaim will freeze pre-service while the announcement slides are looping. Thanks for the link above, I will also give it a try!

Disabling the hardware accelerator, I was told by support, is only for when you are playing long videos. By disabling it during moving backgrounds, I am making Proclaim slower which doesn't fix my issue. There needs to be a better fix for using moving backgrounds. We were only using 2 and it kept freezing and finally crashed.

I did the above workaround and Proclaim has worked fine for 2 weeks in a row. No freezups! the HD motion backgrounds and video seem to be working fine with the accelerator disabled.. Just an FYI.
