Along with the Journals from ATS, and some of the other stuff on Prepub. Don't know if there is enough from the different categories to make up a Gold package.

probably the only way a lot of the lagging pre-pubs will make it out is to include them in Gold. Of course there are some SDA pre-pubs, that I personally am not interested in so, I wouldn't mind if they were left out, but if other books that have been requested (i.e - Bible Amplifier, G. Knight's EGW series) but not in pre-plub can be incorporated into SDA Gold, then I'm sure we can get them into production when there's enough orders for Gold.

That is exactly what I am thinking David. That would get these things out quickly. Put them into a gold collection.

I'm with these guys too! Let's get that SDA Gold base package put together!
Although, I'm sure Martin is already busy working on it!

What if all of the literature put out by our Publishing press could automatically be licensed to Logos. he could then have Gold, Diamond, Platinum maybe even Portfolio.
It does not hurt to dream.

Timothy if that happened, I would be dancing a jig and clicking my heels like a man intoxicated. [:)]

I think what we really need is more SDA Logos Users. Then we would have more interest.
Is there a way to promote Logos in our publications like the Recorder and the Review? That would be good business for Logos to make an advert there. If our people knew that this was available there may be more users. I am an advocate for Logos at our church, but there are too many people that are not very computer literate, so it is fruitless, but there are many others in other churches that are computer literate and don't know about Logos and its abilities. We need to get the word out.

Important point Fred. I too, desire more Adventist material in Logos.

We did place a test ad for SDA base packages in a union magazine, with marginal results. Faithlife Corp encourages denominational product managers to submit articles and announcements--which may or may not get published. We also work through people of influence (such as yourselves) to get the word out. If you go to sda.logos.com, you'll see a couple of the blog postings to which I'm trying to attract traffic. I appreciate any help from you guys as well--thanks for your collaboration.

I agree, Fred. I have been so blessed by Logos and my spiritual life and study of God's word has been so revolutionized by the software. Just the other day a good friend of mine (who is also in the Seminary) and I were talking about how we would love to travel around and promote Logos in different churches and host training seminars on how to use the software in an Adventist context. Have you thought of organizing a more official initiative like this, Martin? I think if our people could see how revolutionary Logos is, they would be willing to invest in it! Most people I think still don't have a clue that Logos even specializes to the Adventist market at all, let alone as much as they do! I'd love to see the word get out more.

Martin, I just posted on my Facebook page promoting the Logos SDA blog and base packages! We've got to get the word out!

Like the idea. Will be hosting a training seminar some time this month for those who got the starter packages.

Thanks, Tim. So much of my time is spent working with SDA leaders--courting their counsel, good will and collaboration--that I don't have as much time I need for all the rest there is to so, chief of which is enlarging our roster of SDA resources. The committee process involved makes things much more complicated and time consuming. But the ultimate product is well worth your patience--and I appreciate so much your collaboration in getting the word out in your own circles of influence.

It reminds me of the mock notice that appeared in offices several years ago - and we all thought it applied well to where we worked. " MEETINGS - THE ALTERNATIVE TO WORK" or something like that.
