Hi,

After seeing this blog post: https://blog.logos.com/2014/11/enrich-your-study-with-beautiful-media/

I was curious to explore the content. I'm not sure how it can be viewed except by search? Is it possible to browse?

Cheers,

John

Well, you can sort of browse each of the media collections by doing a Media search for the name of the collection (e.g., "British Museum" or Beitzel or "cultural context"). The search results will contain a whole bunch of entries (presumably all the entries from each of these collections) and you can then look through them one at a time:

Granted, the search results do not make the best browsing experience, but at least it's (I think) a way to see all of the images (and some videos) you've got available.

Thank you Rosie for your snapshots, but unfortunately despite being told that I own each of these collections and copying your search critera I'm not able to get ANY of these images on my PC. I'm based in the UK and I can only conclude that it is due to server problems.

I have Logos 6 Feature Crossgrade and all these things should be available.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Stephen

I'm also in the UK and have the L6 Extended Crossgrade. I have replicated all of Rosie's searches and the media is showing fine for me.

I'm afraid I can't help any more than that! You could try the classic 'Update All' or 'Update Resources' commands in the command bar, just to make sure all the resources are downloaded.

Hope you get a fix soon!

    Hi Stephen

I, too, am UK based (Corby Northants) and can replicate the searches successfully.

Please will you post a screen shot of it not working?

Connectivity issues? As far as I understand, these things are on external, third party servers. Just to verify, can you use the wikipedia tool?

    Dear all,

I've just finished un-installing and re-installing Logos 6. Downloading 9.01 GBs overnight, and now that the re-indexing has finished, I am still NOT able to find or access these resources. If you compare my snapshot to Rosie's you'll see that mine does not contain a section marked 'LOGOS MEDIA LIBRARY' even though I generated a full 'All media' search (with all files types ticked 'x'). It's like the program is simply not searching the Logos Media Library section.

I am completely at a loss! Can anyone explain what's happening and how to fix it?

    All help much appreciated.

I can replicate the "no Logos media library section" results if I run Logos offline - which is consistent with comments above about access to the required sites.

It's also strange that in your "Library Results" section you aren't even getting a "0 results" indicator.

I wonder if it is some firewall issue stopping access to the necessary sites

Can you enable diagnostic logging and post logs after a search attempt and shutting down Logos?

4544.Logos Log Files.zipThanks for this. I have checked my Firewall and it seems to be working fine and allowing Logos to access the interemet. I can use the Atlas feature. Please find attached my log files. Thank you for your time, help and consideration.

This is a bug (and I apologise for the inconvenience). To work around it, uncheck every item in the drop-down (and it will go back to saying "All Media").

Thank you Bradley, As you can see I have now managed to get my system working. I appreciate your help (and gracious apology) but this bug has caused me a lot of anxiety, not only have I un-installed & reinstalled Logos, but have spent 50 minutes hanging on to the phone calling customer service from the UK without ever getting an answer. I was beginning to think that their was something wrong with my PC and that I would have to do a system restore. However, I am now greatly relieved that all is working. Thanks again.

However, I now have a question! Do these 'tick boxes' in search have to be unchecked in order for these pictures and other media to be found in 'Factbook' or by the passage guide? And also how does one find a specific set of images say for "Bethlehem" for example, without doing a very general 'beitzal' search:?

    Thank you. [:D]

I believe Factbook and Passage Guide currently only search for media in your library (i.e., not Logos Media online).

And also how does one find a specific set of images say for "Bethlehem" for example, without doing a very general 'beitzal' search:?

I found some by searching for "bethlehem" or "beitzel bethlehem" (without quotes).

I suppose I was looking for an option like with faith life info graphics. Some kind of table of contents etc.
