I understand that Logos 6 will work on Kindle Fire. I have quite a large Logos library. How can I discover the Kindle Fire model which will best be able to store my Logos 6 and my resources?

Logos 6 doesn't run on Kindle Fire.
The Android app from Logos will and provide access to most of your resources.
It does not provide all of the functionality of the desktop app but is a very functional complement.

Thanks for your help. A Logos chatroom advisor told me a few hours ago that Logos works on Kindle Fire. However, he did not elaborate. So I would be better purchasing an ipad than a Kindle? I want a Kindle so that I can download non-theological books - history books mainly. However, I also want to be able to read my Logos books. What is my best option?

EDIT: George, Kindle books can be read almost anywhere ... PC, Mac, Kindle/Fire, iPad, Android, etc. Choice is mainly what's good for you. And indeed, Logos6 does allow you to 'ship' books to a Fire. But Logos6 doesn't run ON a Fire (nor iPad, etc).
The ipad provides a similar level of functionality to Android devices - they both have good mobile apps which can read most of your Logos resources.
I would get a tablet (Android or iPad), install the Logos app for Logos resources and the Kindle app for others.
Thank you. Sorry to disturb you again. I am not very familiar with kindle / tablet, etc. So you are saying that Kindle is no less effective for Logos than a tablet. I am drawn to a Kindle because it is a lot cheaper than a tablet. However, that may be a false economy. Can you advise? What storage size hard drive do I need to utilise Logos? What is the best screen size for preaching purposes?
For clarification: a kindle fire IS "a tablet". It runs a customized version of google's mobile operating system called "android." Andriod die hards will tell you to get something else. I am an iOS (Apple iPad, iPhone) fan.
Logos makes a plethora of mobile apps for both iOS and android. Installing the apps on the kindle Fire devices is more complicated than regular android or iOS Because Amazon doesn't allow the apps in their store.
In terms of storage space, the app is designed to run many things "in the cloud." It is not a replacement for your desktop app. You don't need to have a very large storage... You can download resources, but you should not download them all.
If price is your primary concern, you will probably want some form of android, including the fire. If you want the BEST device, and if you want to speak from it, get a full sized ipad.
Also, you asked about screen size... You would be advised to go to best buy / Apple Store to look at the Devices. You need to see it for yourself and hold it in your hand. I have good vision but cannot use an iPad mini.

I have had the Kindle Fire (first generation) for almost 3 years and use Logos on it regularly. Although it does run searches and word studies, I don't think they are as good as on my laptop which is where I do my serious study anyway. I don't regret having the Kindle and it works best for what I use it for - reading and highlighting. I don't have a Mac, so I cannot comment on the Ipad.
Any books you buy you can use on any devise. You never loose a resource once you purchase it.

Your post was very helpful. I was thinking about buying a Kindle Fire. You have, I think, persuaded me. Which model would you recommend? What screen size do you use? Is the highlighter easy to use?

Some Amazon Kindle resources have a limit on the number of devices you can view a resource. For this reason, it is important to "remove" a device from your list on Amazon when you no longer use that device (especially if you sell the device!). Other than that proviso, in no cases is either a kindle or logos/vyrso resource tied to a physical device.

I have the first generation of the Kindle fire, which Amazon does not sell anymore. However, I don't imagine that there would be any difference between mine and the new releases. Other users who have different releases may provide some feedback about their experience.
Mine is a 7 inch screen. They do make larger screens, but for what I do, it's perfect.
The highlighter is very easy to use. I don't know the exact terminology, but I touch the screen and drag my finger to highlight the text I want. You also have the ability to change the highlights different colors and styles.

George, I believe you are getting partial answers to your question.
First of all, Logos6 is designed to run on a desktop or a laptop computer, Logos6 PROGRAM will run on neither a Kindle nor a tablet (Fire, iPad or anything else).
There are Mobile apps for tablets (Fire or iPads), Kindle reader, such as a Paperwhite does not run apps - it simply allows you to read books. As such, you will be able to read SOME Logos6 resources on either Tablets or Kindle Readers. I know that Dictionaries/Encyclopedias, for example are NOT exportable to Kindle readers, but I believe you can access them on a tablet, such as Kindle Fire running a Logos mobile app.
Since you mentioned that you wanted to utilize your new device for preaching, I recommend that you get a tablet. Kindle Fire would be cheaper, but iPad would be more powerful, in my opinion.
If you wanted to commit to android platform, I would suggest Samsung or Google tablets with expansion SD slots. This would allow you to increase storage in the future.
If you want to go iPad route, remember, that storage is not upgradable in the future, so plan accordingly and buy as much RAM as you can affor (and are going to use).
George, to complicate your choices if it's not too late: just over a week ago I began running the full Logos 6 program on Windows 8.1 on an Asus Vivo Tab Note 8 with 64 GB. This might be something for you to look into if you don't have "too many" resources in terms of GB. The cost was a bit less than the iPad. Of course this is for travel away from my study, which is why I'm replying to this thread so late.
