Bug Report: "Logo" item appears with countdown no matter what

There's a really obnoxious bug where the item set as the "logo" (command + L) appears with a countdown clock when clicking "ON AIR". This occurs no matter what we try. We've replaced the logo item. We've deleted all instances of the existing logo item. We've created new blank prensentations and have added in content again manually.

Perhaps there is a cached instance of a countdown item set as the first item in the order of service on your cloud for our account?

Shift + F5 with the first item in the order of service selected gets around the bug, but I doubt any of this is intended functionality.

Hi Scott. Yes, that would reproduce it. Here's a screenshot from a different system. It shows a blank white screen with a countdown. So, this must mean that the command + logo image is cached locally on the other computer somehow.

Note how this blank white screen doesn't exist in the order of service nor in the slide preview area at the bottom.

What's odd about this is the countdown clock os overlaid on the current slide. In other words, it's never embedded in the rendered slide which gets cached. Are you running the latest version of Proclaim? You can see your current version in the Help > About Proclaim... menu.

no clue on the version as the "Help > About Proclaim" doesn't do anything when clicked (see image). Though we do generally click on the update button that seems to be available almost everytime proclaim is opened.

Looks like the Help > About menu isn't hooked up in the main toolbar. We'll get that fixed. The same option can be accessed from with Proclaim's main window.

Also, I watched your vid. there's no way to adjust the display size of the flash file so I can't really see what you're doing there.

So I was able to reproduce the issue! This only happens when going on air from the edit view and having no items in the pre-service loop (at least in my testing). If you go to the preview view and then go on air, the countdown should not show up. Either way, I am publishing a bug report now.

Yep, last time I saw it was immediately before I made my last post. I had just updated Proclaim that day or before. I haven't been able to figure out a pattern as to when it happens.

Hey John,

This bug only appears when there are no items in the pre-service loop. If you place an item in the pre-service loop and view the Logo quickscreen, a countdown clock will not appear. The bug report for this particular issue is still open, but should be fixed soon. In the mean time, you can use the workaround I have described.

Thanks for the update. Yes, still an issue.

The best workaround we've found, since we don't often use the pre-service loop is, instead of clicking "on-air", to select the first item in the order of service and shift + F5 to go on-air directly to the selected slide. This by-passes the paranormal sort of bug that causes a random slide/countdown to appear that isn't in the order anywhere.
