Logos 6 New Feature Guide (compilation of the official forum posts)

Logos in a great step forward as compared to the L5 launch has made available a goodly number of posts on this forum regarding the new features. They explain, link videos, and screenshots of pretty much every new feature.

However, I know that I for one would prefer having this information in Logos. So I made a quick PB of it, which you will find located here. (give it a minute, its uploading to dropbox - wouldn't upload here for some reason)

The only content that was mine is the quick paragraph on the first page, the rest are things posted by Logos employees.

Hope you enjoy! If you find any issues let me know and I'll make the adjustments.

    Thank you very much!

I hate to have you go to more work, but it would be awesome if the links went instead of to the forum posts to the pages in this document where you've copied those posts, so one could browse around in the PB without jumping back and forth to the forum.

Also, it appears that you pasted the contents of the Logos 6 Release Notes post into the What's New in Logos 6 index. The heading for the index appears at the top of your document, above the heading "Logos 6 Release Notes", but the contents of the index appear below the contents of the release notes, with no heading of their own:

I suggest moving the "What's New in Logos 6" contents up above the "Logos 6 Release Notes" post, because it can act as a table of contents for the rest of the document (you'd have to change where the links there point to as well, so they're within this document).

The bolded issue probably isn't going to change. Its a lot of work, and would completely divorce the document from whatever new information is posted on those threads.

The second one I noticed as I was posting it :), will probably work on that after dinner. The third one is a good idea, and I'll make that change as well :)

Also I used the new splash screen as the book cover:

Basically these are both the same issue. I merely suggested how I'd fix it: rather than moving the heading for the index down below to be with that index, move the index up to be with the heading which is already at the top.

Totally understand you not wanting to do the other fix. Of course you know that all the info you copied into this document from the web also won't be updated if those pages are edited on the forum. So this whole document is kind of a snapshot of what was out there on release day. By making it into a Word document instead of letting people navigate it on the web, you're already divorcing it from its source, so if people navigate in your document by the automatically generated TOC they're going to get to stale info regardless. So I was just suggesting making it all self-contained. But yeah, it would be time-consuming, so not worth your time.

In the mean time for navigation, I suggest using the navigation features inherent in the document:

Thank you for your work.  Just got 6 last week & bet this will be helpful.

Perhaps I am totally out to lunch (very possible!), but I am not seeing a hyperlink to the resource so that we can download it.  Obviously it HAS been there because several speak of having downloaded it.  I don't see a later post that you took the file down.

    Am I missing something?

    Thanks.

Calvin, in the first post, the word 'here' is hyperlinked. It can be hard to see the color blue since the word is so small. I have bolded it below, and you can click it there as well.

So I made a quick PB of it, which you will find located here.

Is this file available elsewhere?  Or could it be put back for a short time?
