Proclaim Remote 2.0 is Now Available on the iOS App Store

The completely redesigned and rewritten Proclaim Remote is now available on the iOS App Store. The new remote features improved stability, better performance, and a cleaner layout that should make controlling your presentations much smoother than before. In addition to all of the features of the previous remote, the new version adds a follow mode for on-air presentations that allows users to follow along slide-by-slide without controlling the presentation. The follow feature can be used by members of your Proclaim group who don't need to interact with the application (worship team members viewing song lyrics, or a pastor who is having someone else control the presentation), or by anyone in your congregation who downloads the app—no group membership or Proclaim subscription required on their part. Location data from your congregants' devices is used to determine their proximity to your church; if they're in the building, they're given the option of mirroring the presentation to their device.

Updating from the app store will replace any existing version of the app, but if you participated in the beta, you'll want to delete the beta version to avoid any confusion.

Ish,

i noticed Sunday that some of the functionality of the old app vanished. Specifically the ability to view notes and to view a list of the elements. I've been using proclaim on an iPad to preach from and really need these two functions. Do you know of any plans or timetable for bringing these things back?

Hi Brian,

While controlling a presentation, the ability to view notes and the order of service are still there (iPad/tablet-only as always), but the options have been moved around to declutter the screen. You can see their new locations here http://support.proclaimonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203379719.

Are you referring to viewing your notes while previewing an off-air presentation (that option is currently unavailable)?

Thanks I pulled up a presentation this morning and found the notes and order of service.

We've found the control of a presentation from the app to be a little unreliable on Sunday mornings (probably due to bandwidth issues), and thus have not been using the control feature. It's been a lot more reliable for us to continue to use an operator at the presentation PC and have me view the presentation to stay on the same page.

I'd hope that in a future release proclaim would bring the notes view back for offline presentations. It's been really helpful in the past for reviewing notes before preaching and if I ever need to jump around a bit. Thanks.
