Why does this resource keep getting pushed back?

I understand that delays happen. But best I can tell, this has been pushed back 4 times in less than 2 weeks, on occasion by 2 days. I find it difficult to believe that whatever is causing the delay isn't more foreseeable to just push it back by 2 weeks one time versus continual date changes.

My $.02 ... (worth much less, I know ;)

When we push a product back, it's only to ensure that it's ready for customer use, and it usually takes about two days.     Erin,

    I do appreciate the response. However, it doesn't really answer my question. And my question is even more applicable now because the release date has been pushed back again since my original post in this thread - 2 whole days!

    I know that sometimes things happen close to shipping that can cause the date to change. What I'm trying to figure out is why it's changed 3-4 times since it's original release date, with each change being only 1-2 days? Why not just slip it 2 weeks and if you happen to get done with it in 2-3 days, then it's ready to go at that new date?

    My $.02 ...

    I spoke too soon. It moved again, to 3/3 - 3 business days this time. I'm not being hampered by the delay. I'm just amazed that it's handled this way.

    Hi Donnie,

    Again, I apologize for the delay in your pre-order. In this case, we don't have the EPUB file from the publisher and are waiting for them to supply it to us. We've been pushing the live date back by 2-3 days only so that as soon as we hear back we can ship it (instead of waiting until the extended live date, 2 weeks out for example.)

    I appreciate the feedback on our shipping systems—I'll communicate with our teams to see if there's a more efficient way of securing live dates in the future.
