Getting frustrated again - it's hard to smoothly flow from slide to slide in a sermon or a song when it doesn't change for 3 seconds after you make the change on the iPad (Air, 128g) - and longer if it burps and shows an "unable to change slides" message... by the time you realize there's an issue and have to re-select the slide, it's now 5 or six seconds - and you lose your train of thought because you have to keep looking over your shoulder to see if it really changed.
I think there is now a confirmation of slide change in the app - but it's sometimes wrong - that is, it shows "unable to change" error message because the app is so slow - but has changed, so you click the error message to make it go away, but the slide has changed. It's confusing
Our wifi is 10mbs up and down in the sanctuary, and was working ok last Sunday morning at 8:30am. The changes seemed ok, maybe a hair laggy, from the laptop itself, so I think it's the app. This was Sunday morning -
Testing now (2:30pm on Monday), it's ZIPPY... the software is fast and the iPad app changes happen on screen in a second or less. THAT'S fine - but I don't have services on Monday.
What's going on Sunday mornings that makes this happen? Note- we have NO ONE ELSE using our wifi on Sunday mornings. This has been going on for the past 2 or three weeks - and it's embarrassing and confusing... it makes me look more bumbling than I really am, and is disruptive to the service... Do I need to figure out another solution to presentations? I like Proclaim, but if it can't do the job, I need to find another solution.
