Slides freezing or really slow advancing

I disabled the hardware acceleration and it helped but still getting slide delay. this is really becoming a problem for song leaders. proclaim has a problem with large presentation files. i deleted all the presentations down to 4 presentations and the probelm seems to go away. i have a huge amount of memory on this PC. i need the a large presentation i call song master list file to keep all my songs. this is done so i can load songs quickly into other presentations. what is the problem with having this large file in the presentation list? does proclaim have a nother way to upload songs quickly? they are powerpoint slides with the music stansas on the slides not just the words.they were converted to .png files then uploaded into the master song list presentation. does proclaim have any solutions for this?

Let me save you TONS of stress!!

We had similar issues.So one of our gurus installed a remote for iPhone or iPad called Unified Remote http://www.unifiedremote.com/remotes. I got a bunch of old iPhones donated by church members. So that is its only purpose is to act as our remote.

You need to download a file on to the computer you will be controlling and the app on your phone or ipad. It works by bluetooth and is practically instantaneous! We were using the wireless computer keyboard, but then had issues with key sticking. Watching your entire presentation fly by in 3 seconds is entertaining to many, but not me.

I only use the iPad to monitor where I am in the song.

App is free on iTunes and $3.99 for full functionality. COMPLETELY worth it.

How severe is this delay? I added both of your large presentations to my test group and it did not cause any issues when advancing through slides of another presentation. Does eliminating transitions for your presentation help? Also, which version of Windows does this happen on?

does proclaim have a nother way to upload songs quickly?

If you were using a song item instead of the imported PowerPoint slides, you could add the songs to your 'My Songs'. However there is not a way other than that.

the delay is 1 sec it will hang up on 2 slides it delay with both slides showing.

my system is windows 7.

i removed the large presentations and the problem goes away. i restored the large presentations and the problem came back. i dont understand why these large presentations are taking up space when they are not being displayed. it seemed to be aggevated by running the preservice loop for long periods of time it is like it is using memory and not releasing it while the loop is running and it should be released when that loop stops running.

i need this resolved any ideas would be great.

I am curious, what are you projecting the slides to when this occurs? A Monitor, TV, or Projector? Also what are your system specs?

I am sending to a projector and three TV's all are connected to a video switcher. windows 7, 64 bit. i will need to check what the hard drive is and the amount of memory the machine has. do you need to know what video card i have? what else would you need. this is still hanging up randomly during service.

Does this happen when connected only to the projector or connected to one monitor? I am curious if the delay is related to your monitor set up.

what else would you need

Full system specs, including the type of video card would be nice. I am just trying to get an idea of what type of machine you are using.

I would like to see if you can reproduce the slides freezing when just connected to one monitor without any splitters. Please try this and let us know if the problem still arises.
