Will the RSB be updated when the new edition ships in a couple of months?
If you mean will current owners (I have both ESV & NKJV versions) receive the new edition as an automatic resource update, I think it's unlikely. I think it's like an entirely new volume.
If you mean will Logos publish the new edition, I'm failry sure they will. Even with recent diversification, I'm guessing there's still enough Calvinist Logos usesr to get it out of pre-pub fast. I'm not yet sure if I will.
That makes sense Robert. I was thinking about getting Reformed Starter and was wondering about the RSB. I might just wait.
I'm also interested in the new RSB! Will it come Logos?
similar in name but a different product...bring the Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible edited by Beale as well!!

Come on folks, let's press on both of these!!
Getting closer, keep it up folks!
what a compilation of two wonderful resources!!
I'm purchasing a copy from Ligonier - but will still buy this version when it finally comes out.
Bondservante, When you get it, let us know if it is worth it! I have the old ESV and am very happey with it, do I really need an upgrade? After you revive it, give us your point of view! Thanks Tom
Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
Certainly will! I don't have any idea when mine will come. Did they send you a tracking number David?
There was a tracking number on my orders at Ligonier's website.
I did get it and quite honestly am disappointed at the quality of the Bible itself. Looks and feels very cheap. Granted, it was free so I can't complain. However, from what I have seen so far the notes and articles are great. A lot of minor improvements to the notes. Many are changing of terms. Example the term definite atonement is used now instead of definite redemption in certain notes. I also like having the Creeds and Confessions in the back. Nice touch. But yeah, quality was disappointing if I had actually paid for it.
They sent the White Hardback.
I got the Black leather like bible. Its nice. Its not leather, but its not bad. Its bigger than I expected. I don't have the original in print so its hard to make a direct comparison. But I'm not dissapointed. If I remember, I'll take pictures tomorrow and upload them here of what I got and how it looks. The slipcover was an interesting addition too I thought, plus six months of tabletalk for free.
The new version is substantially bigger. I have the 1st edition of the RSB in leather and the hardcover of the 2nd edition just looks huge. Not complaining, but it is a big Bible.
I will say after about a week of referencing with it the binding has gotten a little better to a usable state. And YES the Bible is much larger than the last edition.
I talked to some of the guys from Ligonier last week at TGC - the notes have been expanded by about 40%. The Bibles look great.
Yeah I spoke with them extensively about it on the phone (I am a Reformation Trust Reviewer) and there is quite a bit of difference. Here is a comparison chart:

Getting closer after yesterday's marketing email!
