If you have questions about Orthodox theology or practice, you can ask them here (or email me), and I'd be happy to oblige—but please keep polemics and debates out of the forums, as always!

Gabe,
I think I heard you present on Ancient Faith Radio. Can you take a phone call?

And what is the list of Orthodox lectionary in Logos?
I was trying to make lectionary plural but goofed - Whoops. [And edit post errors out]

And what is the list of Orthodox lectionary in Logos?
We're working to have both a Julian and Revised Julian ("New") Calendar Byzantine Lectionary for our Orthodox, Verbum, and other interested users. Should be finished early in 2015.

Is Coptic lectionary still in the works?

I know delays in software development are both common and inevitable, but is the Orthodox lectionary almost finished? This would be a real boon.
Thanks,
Kenneth

Question: will these be full Lectionaries or Lectionary Tables of Readings?

Hi Gabe,
I would like to use my Logos 6 simple with Orthodox Bundle XL to help in preparation of my weekly Bible study. Before I ordered it, I asked the sales rep through a chat if it is possible to look at a verse and see the various Patristic commentary on it and she said yes. I can't seem to figure it out and don't really have the time to wade through a bunch of training videos to figure it out.
So, how do I pull up a verse or a pericope (or a whole chapter) and see the commentary on it. Also, because I am teaching the Gospel of Mark, there are not a lot of commentaries specifically on Mark, so is there a way to pull up the corresponding synoptic pericopes to see the various patristic commentaries on them. Thank you very much.

Hi Father Nathan - and welcome to the forums.
Before I ordered it, I asked the sales rep through a chat if it is possible to look at a verse and see the various Patristic commentary on it and she said yes. I can't seem to figure it out and don't really have the time to wade through a bunch of training videos to figure it out.
So, how do I pull up a verse or a pericope (or a whole chapter) and see the commentary on it
Select the passage you are interested in, right-click on it, select "Reference" on the right-hand side of the popup "context" menu and then click "Passage Guide" on the left
This will open a "Passage Guide" with a number of sections. Open the one called "Commentaries" and you will see all of your commentaries which are commenting on the selected passage
Also, because I am teaching the Gospel of Mark, there are not a lot of commentaries specifically on Mark, so is there a way to pull up the corresponding synoptic pericopes to see the various patristic commentaries on them
Not in a single step - you would need to enter the corresponding passages into the Passage Guide and run it again
Hope this helps.
Generally its better to post questions like these in separate threads so that they get the attention they deserve. If my answers above haven't fully answered your questions please start a new thread
