Default settings

Can we please have the option to save certain presentation defaults on a per-user or per-group basis?

As it is now, we have to make sure that each person on our team remembers to change the slide background to black, horizontally center the text, vertically align the text at the bottom of the screen, etc.

If we could set standard defaults, it would really improve the workflow of the person building the presentation each week and increase consistency of worship.

Default service item settings (e.g. show Bible reference, show title slide) are saved for each user but like you have pointed out we don't save default text styles. We do however allow you to save your own style as shown below.

Does your team always upload their own media? Do you find yourself always using the exact same text style or a combination of a few?

I'm not sure what you mean by uploading our own media.
We use SongSelect to import lyrics and simply arrange and style them as necessary.

The text style itself isn't a problem so much as the background and text location.
Because of physical limitations in our worship space, we need to place the text at the bottom of the slide with high contrast white text on a black background. Not all of our team members are as conscientious about it, so I was hoping to simply eliminate the human variable.

I guess more training is probably the solution.

What you could do is use the 'Reuse Items' menu since you are using the same style for each song. All you would need to do is go to the 'Add Item' menu, search for the correctly formatted item in the 'Reuse Items' menu and add it to your current presentation.

Once you have added the correctly formatted Song Item, just change the song lyrics to the ones desired. This will allow you to skip the formatting step of creating Song Items.
