bug? Images shown as white rectangles

For a few weeks now, some foreground images do not load properly on the (Apple) computer we use in our church for presentations. The image (can be either png or jpeg) is shown as a white rectangle (with the same size as the original image). The 'sync' indicator in the upper right corner indicates the presentation has properly been synced, clicking it a second time does not solve the issue. When looking in the media browser, the image is shown correctly and can be added to the slide again.

Presentations are always prepared at home and we only seem to have this issue when the presentation is prepared on a windows pc (7 and 8.1), when a mac is used for preparing the presentation we have so far not seen this issue. We always update proclaim as soon as an update is available, currently on my win7 machine I run 1.28.0.0782

I attached an example of a slide with an image which did not load correctly. I do not have log available yet, because not every image fails to load and I do not see the issue until I sync the presentation on Sunday.

First be sure when you add the images to your presentation you choose "Upload and sync to my group".

Then you need to be sure the upload completes successfully. Upload status is shown in the bottom of the main window. If it fails you can click retry.

Are you certain those steps were completed?

We, too, are having images that do not appear in a presentation after sync is completed. The original files are prepared on Windows 7 and 8 computers. Last night I synced the file on my Windows 7 computer after our pastor had completed his additions using a Windows 8 computer to the file that I had created. I could see every thing on my Windows 7 computer. This morning I synced the file on the Windows 8 computer that drives our video projector. Some of his background images were missing even though they appear in the media browser on the video projector computer.

A foreground image that I had added was represented by a white rectangle the size that the image should be. That image also appears in the media browser in the Windows 8 computer driving the video projector, although it took some time for the media browser to display our uploaded images. By any chance, do we have to open the media browser and wait for our uploaded images to appear on the video projector computer before opening and syncing the service file?

Having trouble reproducing this issue. If either of you could point me to a presentation and item (by name) in your group that demonstrates the issue I can look closer at the backing data.

Looking for something unique about your usage of Proclaim that will help me isolate the bug. Are you building the presentation while disconnected from the internet? Are you switching between presentations frequently while creating your presentation? When adding images do you ever see errors in the bottom upload progress bar?

When building the presentation at home, I am constantly connected to the internet and I have not had any issues when adding images lately. In the presentation below (from last Sunday morning), I did experience the issue with 07_Philip_Ethopian_JPEG.jpg on the slide 'verkondiging' and with accolade.png on the slide 'kinderlied tekst'. I corrected the issue by re-adding the images from the media browser.

I will make a demo presentation this week with lots of images and see if I can reproduce the issue (I won't be in church during the week, so next Sunday I know more)

Today after the service in our church I checked the demo presentation I made earlier this week. There was one image which showed up as a white rectangle. As before, everything seemed to be synced properly.

The image which shows as a white rectangle is 'ik ga op reis.png' on the slide 'test 2'. I just noticed that when viewing the presentation online, the image is completely missing, no white rectangle is shown.

I also experienced this problem last weekend. I prepared the presentation on a Windows 7 desktop computer at home and previewed everything and it was fine. I opened Proclaim on Saturday on my home laptop to make a change and two images were showing as a white rectangle. Everything had synced properly. The only thing different about those two images is that I used a png where I normally use jpeg. I will attempt to duplicate.

Sorry, but I have been unavailable.

The presentation that gave the problem was part of FBCP Presentation on July 5th. There are three slides near the end of the presentation titled "Operation Makin Waves" whose background image were missing on the Windows 8 computer driving the video projector.

The picture of a flower vase in the slide titled "Flowers" in the pre-service loop appeared as a white rectangle on the projector computer.

I duplicated the June 28 presentation and populated it with content for the July 5th service.

Missing photos have occurred since then for another person who also prepares and projects service slides.
