Features that are needed in Proclaim.

After using Proclaim for a few weeks now, I have some suggestions that would make it easier to use and quicker for the end user.

Local media option without upload for all motions.
Our main computer has hundreds of HD motions already stored on it. If I upload them all it would take forever and each time I use my home computer it would appear that it downloads the video clip to my computer and would eventually use up my hard drive space with video clips. I would like to have an option to use a local folder in addition to having the media options.

Download program as a backup to run offline.

Sometimes our internet goes off or is too slow and it would be nice to no be hooked up and tied to having everything online all the time.

Preservice/Post-service loops identical

A lot of the times we use the same loops before and after the service and if there was a way to copy all the pre-service items or designate if they are pre and post service items.

Transition Times for songs
Being able to control the speed of the transitions would be ideal. It is slower than we would like it to be.

Song text placement

It would save lots of time to be able to set a default position for song lyrics. Our lyrics need to be placed higher on the screen and I have to go in one by one for each song. It would be faster to have a universal placement of songs.

Backgrounds applied to all songs

Being able to choose a background and hit apply to all songs would save a lot of time. I realize not all churches keep the same background, but many do.

I, too, am a Proclaim user and I think that some of your desires have already been met. If I have misunderstood what you want please elaborate.

Motion backgrounds can be left on the presentation computer and only added prior to the service when all the other elements are in place. Obviously your requirement for them not to download to a preparation machine precludes the co-operation facilities for this feature.

I rarely have access to the internet at the point of presentation. Providing that the service is synced to the presentation computer in advance Proclaim will work just as well without internet - albeit without the internet reliant components - signals etc.

You can back-up a presentation to a stick etc using the back-up and restore facility.

and indeed it would be great to have complete 'Song Style', 'Reading Style', 'Sermon Style' option. I predict that in the very near future the undesirability of complicated visual backgrounds will be deprecated the way that mixed fonts have grown to be.

Do you know where that folder is located so I could purge that myself? My main concern is when I am sampling moving backgrounds, etc. on my personal machine at home they would eat up space.

Thanks! I must have had some issues with where I was trying to click and once I right clicked in the dead space for post service I pasted them all there.

We are using fade, and I would like to be able to control the speed in milliseconds. Most of the time it's not a big deal, but during songs when someone forgot to advance to the next slide I am salivating for more speed.

I will give it a shot. What I am really thinking about is a "universal options" menu for songs. Default text, placement, colors, etc. and an "apply to all songs" choice on the menu. I did figure out since we have a three screen setup I can put the media manager on one screen and click my song and then the background over and over to set the same background for each. It's faster than searching through the media every time.
