Scripture limited to 50 verses?

My pastor is preaching on all of Acts 7 this morning, which is 60 verses long. I input a scripture slide for "Acts 7," and the verses stopped at 50. I tried specifying "Acts 7:1-60" after that, but it again stopped after 50 verses. So instead, I just have one slide with Acts 7:1-50 and another slide with Acts 7:51-60 immediately following.

Is there a way this can be fixed? I know even 50 verses is a lot and I can understand why it might've been limited, but I'm not sure that it's such a good idea to limit how many verses can be within one scripture slide item.

Hello Shannon, as you have noticed Bible service items are capped at 50 verses. The reason for this limit is to prevent someone from accidentally entering "Genesis" and generating slides for the entire book. The workaround that you have discovered is what we recommend. Is there a reason this workaround is problematic for you? We could consider increasing the max verse count...

There's really just a couple of issues with it.

Anyone following along with their smartphone or tablet is going to get two different signals for the scripture. The first would send them to the beginning of the chapter, but then the second will send them to where they already are, assuming they're following along. It may be confusing for them.
Second, we show the scripture reference at the bottom of our slides. So the first set of slides will show "Acts 7," in this instance, for the first 50 verses, but the verses after that would show "Acts 7:51-60" at the bottom of the slides.

It just seems a little complicated and confusing with the way it's set up. Maybe instead of capping the verses, there could be a "Did you mean to show the entire chapter?" message in red or something?

Asking if they really meant to add the entire chapter seems like a good idea. For now we will bump the max verse limit to 100 which should work around the issue you were experiencing. This should ship in the next version of Proclaim.
