Clearing application data cache

I've noticed that Proclaim is holding multiple GB's of data in the local cache, which would appear to be every media item I've ever used. Is there a safe way to clear that out in the app or can we blow away some of the larger cached files?

There is no way to clear these files in the app. They will be re-synched if you delete them, but no harm will be done to your presentations.

So, is there value in archiving older presentations (e.g., exporting to disk and then deleting from Proclaim)? We've got well over 100 presentations out there, dating back more than a year. They must be consuming a huge amount of space, and I wonder how they're impacting performance.

Of course, included in all of that is a huge cache of hymns that have been formatted for the screen and are regularly recycled into new presentations, so I guess it would have to be somewhat selective.

    Thoughts?

    Hi Eric,

Having old presentations around shouldn't affect general Proclaim performance.

The one exceptions is if you uninstall and re-install Proclaim (or install on a new machine) you will notice a slightly longer initial sync time as it gets your presentation data. This only happens the first time you run Proclaim after a new install. Additionally the syncing step can be skipped if you would like (a skip button will appear on the startup window) - if you do this it will continue in the background but, until it is finished, you will not see your older presentations.

I have an older iMac that is slowing down considerably and I can only assume that since Proclaim is the only application being used on this computer it too holds a couple of years or so of presentations. Is there a way to delete in mass say everything over 1 year old? This would probably clear up a lot of disk space and maybe help with the Cache items we don't need anymore.  Thanks.
