We seem to have no end of problems with the remote app. I'll try it during the week, and it functions fine (I'll go on air and I can control Proclaim using the app on my android phone) there are no significant lag times, and everything happens like I expect it to. I'll even try it out about an hour before worship on a Sunday morning, and it all looks great.
Then we get to actual worship time, and I've yet to get it to function. My 17 year old son controls the presentation from a laptop. We're connected to the same router (him on the laptop, me on my phone). Invariably the app can't find a presentation being on-air, or takes forever to log in, or can't control the presentation or loses control of the presentation, so I give up and have my son change the sermon slides.
Now that we can record the sermon audio, I really don't want recordings with "Ben" being said 10 times during a sermon (as that's about the only way I can get the slide changed.)
I'm at a loss to understand what the issue is (since it works just an hour before hand.)
I haven't posted about it before because I've only seen the ability to use the remote on my phone as nice option. Now that recording is an option, getting this issue worked out is more of an issue.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to start? (The hardest part is that I can't really stop worship to troubleshoot and it works during the week.)
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
