importing from Open Song

With your help I was able to import from Open song by appending .xml to the OpenSong file and importing into Proclaim.  BUT I just got the upgrade to the new version and it seems like this process is now broken and I am again unable to import the songs.

Attached are some screen shots for more details.

Thank you

    Hi Ed, I'm sorry about this. Could you post both your example songs that you mentioned in the above post? I'd like to try them on my end and they will help us track down the issue faster.

    I can narrow this down a bit.  I am trying to import from OpenSong.  I add .xml to the open song file and use import songs from Proclaim.  I tried to attach a power point deck with screenshots but that came back with an error so I wasn't sure you would get the rest of the post.

    This morning I was able to try this on the Church's computer and not accept the upgrade.  I can report that Proclaim 1.3.0 (1.30.0.0714) is able to import from OpenSong and recognizes the song title and says 1 song found

    But Proclaim 1.3.1 (1.3.1.0.0811) will say 1 warning 1 error and will display a red NO TITLE FOUND instead of the title.  It may still be imported and the message says file imported but I suspect that with no title I won't be able to find the song to add it to a presentation.

    Below is a sample.  If you take this text and make it a .xml file and try to import it.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      <lyrics>[V1]
     For the beauty of the earth,
     For the glory of the skies,
     For the love which from our birth
     Over and around us lies:

    [C]
     Lord of all, to Thee we raise
     This our hymn of grateful praise.

    [V2]
     For the wonder of each hour
     Of the day and of the night,
     Hill and vale and tree and flower,
     Sun and moon and stars of light:

    [V3]
     For the joy of human love,
     Brother, sister, parent, child,
     Friends on earth and friends above;
     For all gentle thoughts and mild:

    [V4]
     For Thy Church that evermore
     Lifteth holy hands above,
     Offering up on every shore
     Her pure sacrifice of love:

    [V5]
     For Thyself, best gift divine,
     To our race so freely given;
     For that great, great love of Thine,
     Peace on earth and joy in heaven:</lyrics></song>

    Thanks for the info Ed, I have identified the issue. We're planning on shipping an update tomorrow so I'll see if I can squeeze this fix in.
