audio

When I insert a video and choose to not upload and do local it works great, if I use the same video and do upload, it uploads, then says transcoding and then the audio sounds like it lost a lot of quality? Any answers?

This is an mp4 file ripped using handbrake at default settings.

Hi, Adam. When I upload an .mp4 video through Proclaim, the file that comes out after the transcoding is the exact same size as the file I started with. I believe that all of the original audio data should be preserved through this process. I also don't hear any change in the quality of audio on my test video.

Can you describe how the quality is lowered or distorted? Is it subtle or is it distinctly noticeable?

its noticeable for me.....I mean I am sure other people would not notice but its like a 192kbps dropping to say 64.....you can hear the quality drop down.....I tried other files and they seem to be fine, must be a fluke for this file.....but all the others worked great, was a 5 part session and 1-4 no issues, and when I play 5 outside of proclaim it sounds fine as well.
