Song Effects presets?

Every week I am making the same adjustments to my saved songs, is there any way to save or use Proclaim to keep these changes such as a Preset?

I am not seeing the option to do this, for example I always add a couple Text Effects and Bold certain text only to have to redo it the next time I use the song. I tried searching for this in the database but maybe I'm using the wrong terms?

Help me see the light! (or option to fix this)

Hi, Wayne. Could you give me a screenshot of a slide on which you would like to apply these changes? It would give me a better idea visually of what you're trying to do so we can find a solution.

We currently don't have a template which will automatically edit rich text in certain parts of a song, but there is a way to save your text styling by using custom styles. Adding a couple of these styles as "Song 1," "Song 2," etc. could be a way to save some time.

Any custom changes you make to the lyrics of a song will always be saved in "My songs."

You can also use the "Reuse Item" feature in the "Add Item" menu. This way you'll get the lyrics, background, and any custom text styling previously applied.

Thanks Scott, this will probably be my best option. I have not been using this "Reuse Item" for songs but I have been for logo and announcement images. Not sure why I haven't been using this more often.

Hi Peter,

In this image, for example, I would want to apply Bold to all lyric text (already done here), then add an Outer Stroke to that text to make a black outline around the characters because it makes them show up better.

I would prefer that the bold text and outer stroke be the standard preset, so that if I add a new song it would automatically do that.

For songs we've done I believe I'll have to use the "Reuse Item" as Scott has suggested, again not sure why I haven't been doing that already.

Once you have set your style in the text - name it and save it.

In the example above I already have 'EWIC hymns' saved as a custom style. One click on Save and I would also have 'Bold outer stroke' available at the click of a label.
