SUGGESTION: New Jerome Biblical Commentary
This has been made in the past, can we please get New Jerome Biblical Commentary? Fr. Raymond Brown was one of the great theologians and teachers of the 20th century.
The old one was in Logos many years ago, I have it and it has been substantial rewritten.

Don, I've thoroughly enjoyed JBC hardcopy. Amazon thumbs-downers recommend Navarre. What is your take on Navarre?

I think it's good, but I prefer the Sacra Pagina/Berit Olam for OT and NT, for quick stuff the Catholic Study Bible and Ignatius Study Bible. Catena Aurea is excellent for some very specific commentaries on how the early Fathers commented on Scripture, but its just the Gospels. There are about 6 or 7 I cycle through over time for variety for more scholarly work, lately my indepth favorite is actually the Word Biblical Commentary. I really think this is very good .

If 1 million wanted the NJBC, it might not matter the disappearance of the JBC was because Prentice Hall did not want an electronic edition out there. One would hope they might be more sensible in an age where electronic books are as important as print but seeing as there is no Kindle edition I am guessing they may still be in the none digital age.

That is pretty telling. Well, at least it seems doubtful that they can hold back from entering digital publication forever....
