December's FBOTM is by Joseph Ratzinger:

The Blessing of Christmas

And the $0.99 book is:

Seek That Which is Above: Meditations Through the Year

Even though I'm reformed: Thank you very much FL!

Thank you.  And I've always wondered why Verbum is a day or two behind in announcing their FBOTM compared to Logos.com.  Anyway, thanks to you, we know!  And I own those two already.  ;)

We're terribly sorry about the delay in updating the Verbum Free Book of the Month each month. Technical limitations on Verbum.com prevent us from scheduling updates to that page, so we have to manually post the updates on the first of each month (around 10:00 AM PST). If the first of the month falls on a weekend, we update the page on the first weekday of the new month. To compensate for the inconvenience, we continue to offer the previous month's book for free until the page is updated. I hope this clears up any confusion!

Also, I know how much y'all love free books, so you may be interested in our Advent promotion: https://verbum.com/advent

This month's "Free Book of the Month" is the first entry, but we'll be offering three more free books over the course of Advent.

    Enjoy!

This month I noticed that the books (which I already had and can recommend) were already discounted last night, so at least everyone who went looking pre-announcement today could find them. This is good.

I'd rather grab a free book that is delayed a few days than a full-price book on time [:D]

Thanks Verbum for all the freebies over the past year!
