Looking to buy Schaeffer's complete works...

If you have a version of Logos that includes the Complete Works of Francis Schaeffer, would you be interested in selling your Logos license to me?  I’d like to write my dissertation about Schaeffer and would love to have all his works electronically so I can search them at the click of a button.  Unfortunately, due to copyright issues, Logos can’t sell Schaeffer’s Complete Works via Logos anymore.  So the only way for me to get it is to buy the Logos license of someone who already has it.  This would mean though you’d be selling me your entire Logos suite.  I’m willing to pay fair price though.  Such that you could then purchase a new bigger Logos license.  Just send me an offer at 1freedbyjesus@gmail.com

FYI, we are working on regaining a license to sell that collection. However, there is no clear timeline on it, so your idea may be the best bet.

I know this thread is old, but I stumbled across it when trying to find out why the Complete Works of Francis Schaeffer wasn't being sold in Logos. For clarification: It is my understanding that a user could transfer the license of this resource by itself IF 1) the resource was acquired as an individual license and 2) if a subsequent purchase (base package or bundle) didn't subsume the individual license.

I know that my copy, for example, was an individual purchase. I don't know if any of my later base package purchases included the resource or not. If they did, I would have surrendered the individual license to acquire a dynamic price of the larger base package.

I don't know if you are still following this thread or not, nor if you are still in need of the resource. If so, (according to my understanding), you don't need someone to sell you their entire library... just the single resource (with the provisos above). If that isn't the case, I would be interested to know. Hopefully (if you are still in need) you find someone willing.

Just in case this thread does/can get some traction, I would also be very interested in having Schaeffer's Complete Works in Logos!  I hope Logos are able to make progress in reacquiring rights to sell the collection.

A student at my seminary asked me about this last year or the year before. I figured I'd sell him whatever chunk of my library was required in order to part with schaefer. My salesman forwarded my email to customer service. Customer service didn't respond after several emails.

The long and the short of it is its complicated, and it seems like, people don't want to try.

I have it, if I had some idea of what I'd have to part with to sell it, I might just do so. You can email me (and cc customerservice) at jsschrstrcks (the number one) (at) gmail (dot) com. let me know when you've read this so I can remove my email address from the forum.

Last time I posted it someone being "helpful" signed me up for every single mailing list FL has. Took me a couple days to figure out what happened and fix it.

As I'm currently reading through Schaeffer's complete works, I am so grateful to have a copy from the past.  However I purchased it (as a collection or solitary) I have no idea. But I'm enjoying it.

I'm saddened that after so long a time, no apparent progress has been made in securing the rights.

The Complete Works of Francis A. Schaeffer should most certainly make a return to Logos.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I remember picking this up as a March Madness deal in 2009. It was like $34 during that sale. Incredible bargain.
