Proclaim Song Database

I am trying to figure out how the "My Songs" section is compiled. I would like to go through and delete some of my old presentations. Some songs we have added in through the presentations and my worship pastor would rather not lose those songs that he has manually put in.

So, my question is, when adding a new song and you start adding a title...where do the lyrics autofill from?

Hi, Mark. Good question! When you select a song and begin making edits on it, it is now a part of "My songs." The changes that you make to lyrics, verse order, etc. will all be preserved in the "My songs" version. If you imported a song from SongSelect or another lyrics service instead of "My songs," Proclaim would automatically pull the lyrics from that source. Custom edits made after that point will once again add a song to "My songs" so you don't have to make the same edits if you want to reuse that item.

Question, Our church uses a hymnal where many of the songs have been altered lyrically. We would like to upload them to proclaim to use them in our "library" , how do we upload our hymnal to that? we will be using Song Select as well but they do not have many of the songs that we use and it would be a very daunting task to have to implement hundreds of songs. Is there a way that we can upload the song files that we have to our personal library?

What is the format of the hymnal you currently have? We can certainly import a large batch of songs at once, provided the formatting is correct.
