Blank line in a song slide
How do I insert a blank line in a song slide without automatically jumping to the next slide?
Like this:
All the hearts who are content
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothin' left
Will know that You are holy

This is one of the limitations of our current song entry system. Adding any character (characters such as _ . - are most common) to the blank line will keep all of the lyrics on the same slide.
You can also paste a unicode whitespace character into the blank line. Here I used the word joiner, U+2060:

Does anyone know how to make this work on a Mac, a real computer? I tried the "Option + Space" that has been recommended in other threads and it does not work for me. Thanks.

I have settled on using the Charmap app on Windows 10 to insert a Unicode 200D.
I am not familiar with what you call a "real computer" however, this "fake computer" user might be able to help.
Character Map = Character Palette. You get to it via Edit > Special Characters, or check its box in system prefs/international/input menu. No keyboard shortcuts are given, however. You can use Keyboard Viewer (check its box in system prefs/international/input menu) to see which key does what.
Some people like the program PopCharX.

Hey Pastor Tommy,
if you hit ctrl+cmd+space on your mac you should see the symbol window popup.
The you can click the button in the upper right to see the full table.
Then you have to go to customize list and select Code Tables> Unicode. This will let you search for unicode characters.
Searching for 200 should bringup some unicode characters that will add a space. you can favorite one of these for quick access. Now in the future you can just click ctrl+cmd+space and add the character.

I am using Windows at home to create presentations and a Mac at church to use presentations and trying to figure this space line in between thing out too for our worship leader

Since you are on Windows, trying use Shift + Enter to create a blank line without pushing the following text to a new slide.

To add a blank line in a song slide, simply put your cursor where you want the blank line, hold the shift key and press Enter.

Shift-Enter placed a blank line on my edit screen but there was no blank line in the preview window.

If you put the Shift+Enter at the beginning of the line, that's what happens, but if you put it at the end of the previous line it works.
