BUG: Guides retain previous search entry
When opening a guide; if there is no guide of the same type already open it will automatically start searching on the last word/passage that you used that guide for, even having closed and reopened the program.
The issue was exasperated by the fact that I couldn't find a stop button as there was in Logos 3 to stop the guide finishing.
Repro:
Open Passage guide and search for eg 1 John 1. Close the guide. Open Passage guide again and it starts searching 1 John 1. If you leave this window open and open a new Passage guide it defaults to blank.
I'm not sure if that's a deliberate way of doing it but its more annoying than useful. At most you might want to have the last search term in the search box giving you the option of repeating it.

George, it is an absolute must to have a stop button, personally I would prefer to have control over the program and stop this sort of ridiculous running of everyghng automatically. I am the user of the application and should have control of it rather than having the application dictate to me what I should be doing next and then having to waiting for it to go off on its own tagent before I can get the chance to instruct it in what I actually want it to do, Its a case of who is the servant and who is the master, at the moment that relationship is the wrong way around with the application being in control of the user. So please continue to pursue this matter to the fullest. At the very least a stop button is needed.

As usual I agree with Andrew.
The purpose of the tool to accomplish the job that I want it to accomplish.
Any AutoAnything should allow me to turn it off so that I can control when it needs to be done.

I have now read Bradley has indicated this particular issue will be fixed in the above post, so once again Thank you for doing so...
However my comments below still stand as a general principle....I have no problem with 'improvements' and 'simplicifcations' but dumbing down the program to the point the user is no longer in contorl of the experience is not what I am looking for in a software prograrm, particulary when it comes to my personal bible study.

Thanks for that link Andrew. It's not very easy for developers to find these kinds of things because they are busy developing especially after working so hard and already being very familiar with how it works, it's exactly what they need, a fresh eye to look at this program from a user's perspective. That's why you and I are here for them [:)]
