Images on Content Screens

I love mixing text and images when I'm preaching. It's easy to use a slideshow to have a series of images, or use content screens to have text, but every time I put an image on a content screen (meaning I upload the image from my office desktop to the FL presentation group then put the image on a content screen), then open the same service on the sanctuary computer, the images are not there. I have to transfer the images to that particular computer, then upload and place them again. What am I missing?

Hi, Clint. That's not expected behavior for sync. Could you please create a presentation on your office computer ("For Proclaim Testing" or some title to identify it) and add some foreground images to reproduce this? If there's a particular presentation that's currently affected you could direct me to that, also.

There was a bug that we fixed yesterday that has the same symptoms as your issue. A certain metadata tag was causing some items not to sync properly, but any affected media should be fixed by now.

It happened again on Sunday, so my Feb 14th service is a great example (problems with the intro slide, intro slide (2) and why slide). I've created a Feb 16 service with a single slide, two pictures both from my desktop. On the sanctuary computer, neither image shows up.

We don't have a fix for this yet. It appears that when your images are uploaded the filepath isn't being changed from a local file to a group upload. It might take some time to track down why this happens (we're improving our logging for this exact situation), so in the meantime the workaround is to add the images again from your group uploads.

Sorry about the frustration this causes. The good news is that any of the affected media items will still be available in the media browser to you (or anyone in your group) on any machine, so as long as you re-add them the white boxes should no longer appear.
