I suggest that the new Luther's Works Volumes  69 and 78 be offered as Logos books.  If they could be offered as a bundle with Luther's Works Volume 67, then I would be happy to purchase those books from Logos.

LW 78 is on Prepub: https://www.logos.com/product/56680/luthers-works-vol-78-church-postil-iv

and there are a number of Luther-resources on Community Pricing, some needing just a small notch to cross into production.

Believe it or not, Concordia had produced Volume 69 for Libronix.  I have the CD and the files transferred over into LOGOS 4,5 and 6.  They even downloaded from the LOGOS server onto my new computer without me having to install the CD.  I have no idea why LOGOS is not selling volume 69 when it has the files.

Whilst I subscribe to the new volumes from CPH, I also appreciate having them in Logos - so I got my prepub order in yesterday [Y]

Thank you for the updates on LW 69 and 78.  I have added the pre-pub on LW 78.

Every so often I look at the internet to see if I can locate a copy of Luther's Works Volume 69 in CD-Rom format.  This time I came up with your conversation.

Why Logos will not sell Luther's Works Volume 69 is a great mystery.  That was the very first Luther's Work from the new edition that was put into Logos format.  CPH sold it and then all of a sudden dropped it.  My guess is that they said, "OK dudes, we will let you completely deal with our software stuff.  That will be your baby now.  You can do with our stuff whatever you want.  Just give us our cut."  Logos now controls the complete destiny of all Luther's Works in electronic form.  Perhaps they want to package this Volume with some more Luther's Works resources on the Gospel of John.

Four years ago I  called up Logos and asked a salesperson directly about this.  The sales person seemed surprised to find out that this was not being sold by Logos if Logos truly had this as an electronic file.   I know with 100% certainty that they do.

Anyway, it is a mystery.  Another mystery is how come no one is bidding for P. E. Kretzmann's Complete Commentary on Community Pricing.  I know a lot of people have it in print.  But it is so small a print!  This work for $16???!!!  I am a Missouri Synod Lutheran and this is part of my church body's Biblical interpretation legacy.  Plus, it really is good stuff!  All Logos Lovers and Lutherans out there.  Bid for this book!  I've been waiting a long time!

    Thanks for listening.

Back to Luther's Works Volume 69.  Maybe we all just need to contact Logos and say, "Hey guys!  We know you got it!  Give it to us!"  Even if they did it as a pre-pub it, it would be make it's goal quickly and fairly easily.  But once again, my thinking is that they want to package it with another Luther's Work on John's Gospel.  Either that or they have forgotten about it.

I was curious and just had a look for this and it turns out it has been released on pre-pub - see here:

Thanks for the heads-up on Kretzmann - it'll be a real bargain if it makes it across the line at $16.

Thank you Logos  For putting Luther's Work's Volume 69 on pre-pub!  Thanks for coming through and listening to our conversations on this Forum!  Thanks for valuing our input!

And way to go Lutheran Products Forum!  It is very obvious that Logos read the Forum messages!  Why else would they all of a sudden(today!) put Luther's Works Volume 69 on pre-pub when we know they had this work in Logos electronic format for at least the last five years.  What you put on this Forum matters!

    Speaking of mattering...

Thank You Logos for putting Kretzmann's Complete Commentary on community-pricing!   Now everybody!  Let's follow through and order it!

     $16!!!

    What a steal!

Thou shalt not steal---but in this case this is the exception!!!

    Thanks Colin!

I tapped on the tag-line you sent me and low and behold!  After all these years!  Volume 69!  I rubbed my eyes in disbelief for a half hour, but now I have come to the conclusion, "It's true! It's true!"

If this happened.  Look out Kretzmann!

    Thanks again!
