Logos crashes every time I search even after reinstalling three times.
Suggestions?
Can you explain or give a screenshot of your search? What is your internet like?
Here is a screen shot. As you can see the two pull-down menus at the top are not even showing and the entire things freezes up and eventually crashes. [:(]

What model number is your iPad Mini? We've seen an issue similar to this before with older iPad Mini's and expect it's probably a memory related issue.
Also, how long did you wait after reinstalling before attempting to use Search?

Each time was different. The first time it was days. The next times it was minutes.

I am now at home and tried more than a dozen times before I could choose "Report a Problem". It crashed and crashed but I finally was able to submit a report. I'm frustrated at continually having to delete and reinstall. Any other suggestions?
A similar 1st Gen iPad Mini issue was reported once before (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/121988.aspx) but the customer was unable to send logs for the FSB app (the one that was crashing). His solution was to purchase a new iPad Mini 4 and the problem disappeared.
This is likely a memory issue since the A1432 has 512MB of RAM. I've written up a case for the dev team but there's not an immediate workaround that I'm aware of. Before updating the app did you use iTunes to back up your device?

Unfortunately no.
I'll bring this up with the team tomorrow. My iPad 3 is older than your iPad Mini 1st Gen but it has twice the memory and I've never had an issue with crashes like this. We'll have to do some profiling with the app and see what can be done. Sorry about the issue.

To fully test this again I deleted the app one more time and let it index with no other apps running. Then I used it to navigate and that worked fine. Unfortunately just doing a basic Bible search caused it to crash again, just like every time. [:(]
Just an update - the developer thinks the issue is related to having a lot of resource collections, he's still debugging it.

We believe this is fixed in internal builds. The crash had to do with having hundreds of collections and the search code wasn't handling it very well. It should be available in the 5.2 beta and stable releases (we hope to have a beta ready sometime next week).

Thanks Kevin. I'm about to go overseas for 3 weeks beginning tomorrow so participating in the beta is probably not the wisest thing to do now. I may just wait until I return to see where things stand. Would you anticipate the beta still going after another 3 weeks or is it just better to wait for the stable release?
