Video imported into presentation is not available when presentation is opened in a different compute

I prepared a brief mpg video using PowerDirector 14. I imported it into our presentation for last Sunday using my laptop computer. Proclaim indicated that the video was being uploaded to the media folder as well as being added to my presentation locally. When I opened the presentation at church, the video appeared only as the first frame still. I looked into the media cache folder on the church computer, and saw only the png file of the first frame in the folder. When I got home I checked the media cache folder in my laptop that I used to create the presentation. Both the first frame png and the mpg (3bf59d40-0bb7-4827-9cab-14e83215f180.mpg) were there.

I see that there is a second png file with a different file name also in the media cache. I didn't think to look at the name of the png file on the church computer to see which one was downloaded.

Why is the mpg file not available so that it will sync on the church computer?

Hi, Gene. Sometimes it takes awhile for content to download locally, which could explain why the video wasn't showing up. You'll also have to preview the video in the edit pane by clicking on it, or go to "Preview" mode for it to play.

I see the video in your group uploads, so it was successfully synced. If it's still not appearing on the church computer, you can add it again from the media browser to the same service item.

There are many reasons why video can't play in the PowerPoint. The video might get corrupted during data transfer. The file root path could be wrong too. Since no white rectangle or black rectangle shows depend on your description, so it could be format and codec problem too. And media file is now encoded in many different container formats, so you might try to change format to powerpoint video format issue.

I was responsible for last Sunday's service. I made another 10 second video and uploaded it. I also put it on a stick to take to church with me.

The new video would not run in the service file, so I added it to the service from the stick. It still wouldn't run. So I opened it with Windows Media Player. I got an error message that it couldn't play that codec. I was most surprised that my Windows 7 computer would play it, but the Windows 8 computer did not have the codec. So I will have to load a codec pack to give me more options for video formats.

What was the original file format for the video? If you're looking for codecs this pack should have all you need.
