Background video not playing

The video backgrounds have stopped working for me. In the Media Browser the preview still works. I apply a video background to the current item, it loads like it normally would (loading graphic), but a still background is all I see.

Hi, Andy. I want to confirm that the video doesn't play when entering into "Preview" mode at the top of the screen (pictured below):

Videos that are set as motion backgrounds won't automatically play when you're in "Edit" mode (unless you click the play button), but will play as they would in an on air presentation when you're previewing.

If the backgrounds still aren't working, please send us a copy of your dxdiag by following these quick steps. That will help us diagnose if your graphics card might be affecting the playback.

Hey Peter,

I spoke with Tech Support, they were able to replicate the issue. They will also start a ticket for the issue.

There is apparently a temporary work-around. If you are in need of it post here and I'll try to explain it.

I am having this same described issue within the past week on both of my machines (one of them is running OSX El Capitan 10.11.5, one is a Windows 10 machine running Version 1511 OS Build 10586.420).

Is the workaround for both Mac and PC?

To clarify, this is discussing moving graphics on content slides that are not moving in Preview or On-Air modes, but can adequately be previewed in the media browser.

On Friday we discovered an issue with motion backgrounds not playing if they only have single line text fields (e.g. Header Subheader media). Does this sounds like your scenario? We plan to ship a fix for this on Tuesday.
