Can you make it more difficult to go Off-Air? ...and another "Air" Question...

I'm trying the software again. I have two suggestions:

1 - Hitting "ESC" to go off-air is too easy for someone to accidentally go off-air. May I suggest a "Are you sure" dialog box or a different way to go off-air.

2 - Then, if someone quickly clicks the "On-Air" button, it starts with announcements and any music (if assigned). I know you can right click on a slide to go on-air with that slide.

If I'm missing something, please let me know.

1. We're looking into a solution for this; your point is very understandable.

2. I'm not perfectly clear on what you're asking here. Are you suggesting that we implement a sort of "start cue" that Proclaim would jump to when you click "On air?"

Hi John, after reading your post I realized we were being a little too liberal with our capturing of the escape key on Mac. Even while in a textfield, clicking escape (which commonly removes focus or closes a popup, etc) would cause you to go offAir.

I have changed it so that it will only take you offAir if you don't have keyboard focus in a field.

What I was hoping was that ESC would never take me Off-Air. I suggest that it be something like clicking the "On Air" at the top right to go off air. Or maybe a "Key-Combination" of sorts...like SHIFT-ESC or CMD-ESCAPE.

This makes sense to me. Is there a good reason it should be fast to go off air? Accidentally going off air is a costly mistake. Not being able to get offline quickly is not a problem at all. It seems like the system should err strongly on the side of making it hard to quit.
