Hello, is anyone using Proclaim for live broadcasting bible verses or other parts of its presentation? In particular, using livestream.com and the provided free software ATEM Studio.
Howdy, this may not be a complete answer, but we've dabbled with some of this.
First of all, since you reference ATEM software, I'm assuming you must have a Blackmagic hardware solution like the ATEM Television Studio (ATEM TS) since ATEM is not part of Livestream.com, but a Blackmagic product line.
Assuming that is true, then these are some of the things we have worked out for our live/recording setup. The ATEM Television Studio has a dedicated h.264 encoder that lets you record a compressed stream to your control computer very easily. Until recently, this output was not compatible with Livestream.com as an input source and you would have to buy a separate Blackmagic capture card connected to the ATEM TS program out. However, the latest firmware for the ATEM TS allows its h.264 stream over USB to be certified as an input source for Livestream Producer (not Studio).
The final setup, then, is this:
I hope that helps.
Thanks Chris. This helps and I think mimics our setup now. I wasn't sure if the ATEM Software Control would recognize Proclaim as an input option. I assume the main computer connected to the cameras and switcher would then have to run Livestream Producer (to start/stop streaming), ATEM TS, and Proclaim. Alternately if Proclaim can run on one of the other inputs, we could have that person running the software on another machine (which would be the better option).
Hi CreativeTeam, just to add on to what Chris said, at my church we have a dedicated computer running Proclaim that is hooked into one of our inputs on our ATEM switcher. Then we have another computer for controlling the switcher and finally a third for our live stream. The only difference from what Chris described is that we are still using a capture card in the 3rd computer for receiving the output from our ATEM switcher and sending it out via Wirecast for Youtube.
Thanks Jordan!! Yes, we'd have Proclaim computer as an input to ATEM switcher. The switcher and livestream software is on one computer though - not sure if/when they would change that.
Very happy to know we could use this setup!
