Steve, these are excellent contributions.
Dave,
nothing compared to what you are doing here on the forum!
Thanks for all that you do!
Awesome, Steve! I like your style of explaining things. I haven't had a chance to review all these pages in depth but I did notice one little goof. The Library page says for step 2, "Click on the Heading bar as shown in the image below" -- but actually should be Right-click. I'd fix it, but it will involve fixing the graphic as well, so I thought I'd better leave it up to you.
I did make a couple of other minor edits to the Library page, though.
Awesome... thanks Steve.
Wow, Steve, thanks!
I learned something on Cited by tool, just browsing the wiki page you posted.
Great job!
And THANKS!
Excellent, Steve. Thanks.
Slight correction for the Layouts page: shortcut for Layouts is Alt+A (not Ctrl+A.)
Thanks Allen, done.

Excellent job. Much better than watching a video to find just what you want. [Y]
Thanks Mark
Much better than watching a video to find just what you want.
The video are great. But sometimes they cover a lot of things which i can't remember. Which leads me to fiddling with pause, rewind; when trying to find how to do things. Glad i may not be the only one with this handicap [:)]
New (...) Cited By

I just read through this page and I think it could do with some updates, if you have the time:
Hi fgh,
i will look into that time permitting. Thanks for itemizing current differences! This may take a week or two as i am preparing to be watching my grandkids as my son & daught-in-law head for a mission trip to China, then the following week i will be busy with VBS. But in quiet times i will review your items and the current abilities in Cited By and update the wiki page accordingly.
Thankssteve
I've spent so much time fighting with and reporting bugs and 'issues' that after all this time I've still never really found the time to look into Cited By, Explorer and the Power Lookup (isn't that a shame!). Andrew's video and the follow up post on the Power Lookup made me curious. So I'm reading through the pages for my own sake, and figured I might as well jot down what came to mind while doing it. So there will be more to come. But just because it happens to be convenient for me right now, doesn't mean you have to do it right now. Do it whenever suits you. And thanks again for your work on these pages!
2. Do you know where the Cross References are taken from? It so, I suggest adding that information. (Wasn't there a thread about this on the forums at some time?)
i believe its from New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. You might search through forum post via google for cross-references, a post that sticks in my memory was when meta-data changed and the older version of TSK disappeared, i remember replying to it since i had both versions.
5. Do you know what SmartTextPanel is?
This is not showing up in my Explorer (windows version 4.5b). Perhaps its different between us for one of the following reasons: you may be running Mac, or you may be running a Beta, or you may have resources which i don't have???
i believe its from New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge.
My memory differs slightly here - doesn't it also include some (prioritized) (study) Bibles?
Thanks, MJ, I thought I remembered something like that.
I'm on stable, and it's in People, Places & Things, so I doubt it's a resource difference. I didn't see it more than that once, and it wasn't a link, just a 'word'. My first thought was that it was a piece of code that should have been invisible but wasn't for some reason -- but then I don't know the first thing about programming so I'm hesitating to even mention that thought.
Look at that! I just did the smart thing: googled, and what do you think turned up at the top? http://community.logos.com/forums/p/50436/372394.aspx. That web site looks familiar somehow... I think I'll go and add a link to this thread in that one. [:)]
I just read through this page and I think it could do with some updates, if you have the time: It sounds as if it can only be used with Bibles. Perhaps that was true at the time, but it isn't now. It sounds as if it can only show collections. Perhaps that was true at the time, but now the list shows mytags and series as well. You might consider adding Andrew's new video. It's very Catholic (for those who object to that...), and it's only partly on using the Cited By tool, but until Mark finds time to do something it's probably the best video we've got on what can be done with Cited By. (Logos video is woefully inadequate.) (And even if you don't add it here, it should be added to the Video page.)
i made changes to the Cited By wiki page. When time permits, i will review other sections of this wiki to see where more changes are necessary.
Power Lookup The "There is a new link type ... called Follow" could probably be reformulated by now. It's not that new any more. (Actually, reading on, I'm wondering if the whole section "Why does it jump..." couldn't be removed, as there is a whole section on linking towards the bottom.
i am leaving this info in the wiki pages since i am still seeing a few users migrating to L4 from L3. The Follow link type will still be a new concept to them. For L4 users familiar with this link type, they can easily ignore this info.
Explorer My Content now includes more than just Notes. Do you know where the Cross References are taken from? It so, I suggest adding that information. (Wasn't there a thread about this on the forums at some time?) Commentaries also searches Bible Notes. I suggest adding a tip about hovering to get a popup, not just about clicking to open the resource itself. (Coming to think of it I believe the Cited By page did the opposite: mentioned hovering but not clicking.)
i have updated the Explorer wiki page per your suggestions.
