Linking Book "Word of Life--Daily Scripture Companion" to Catholic Lectionary

Verbum's home page on my desktop app identified a book in my library that is valuable: Word of Life--Daily Scripture Companion. But, the book makes it hard to find the readings for the current day--it looks like I have to do that manually.

Is there any way that the book can be linked to the Catholic Lectionary, which appears on my desktop app's home page and always shows the current day. The reason I want these two resources linked is that the book, Word of Life, has a commentary on the day's scriptures that I would like to use when reading the day's liturgical scriptures.

I recognize that this link may already exist, but I haven't found it if it does.

My screen capture is acting up so I can't get the picture I want. If you open both the Lectionary and Word of Life and look at their Information panel (circle i) you will see that they both have Catholic Liturgical Calendar as an index. This means that you can link them on that index.

Click on the resource icon (upper left) to open the Resource Panel Menu. Click on a letter for Link Set. Set the other resource to the same Link Set letter and you are good to go.

Note: when the sanctoral cycle appears in the lectionary but not in the Word of Life the link doesn't always work correctly.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you. I had tried that but got confused when, clicking on today (St. Alphonsus Liguori, there was no link. But if I click on tomorrow, an ordinary day in the ordinary week, the link works very nicely. Your email was very helpful.

Thank you very much for the clear directions on something I had never discovered.

However, I think I must be missing a crucial concept.  I set both the Lectionary and Word of Life to "B" and as I scroll through one the other follows.  But how do I set this to happen automatically?  It is unlinked when I restart the program.

In a related question, if I click on a Lectionary passage, all five of my preferred Bible translations come up in one window.  They have "A" on each.  This is what I want -- I can easily shift from one to another for comparison.  But I also get "Cited By" and "Explorer" windows, also marked "A", which I do not use.  How do I permanently stop them from appearing?

Once you have resources open and links established you can save that layout.  You can think of a layout as a "snapshot" of Verbum at a point in time.  That will give you the ability to return to it later on by opening the saved layout and return to the place and point where you saved it or last updated it.  That includes the resources that were open and the links you had established.  Here is some additional information:
