COMMENT & QUESTION: Verbum Now Mebership Program
As a Verbum Now Subscriber I am excited about the new Verbum Now Membership Program. There is quite a discussion going on in the General Forum about the Logos Now changes. I was able to confirm that I can click into the Members Only area to see the various resources and discounts being offered this iteration. I think it is encouraging upgrade to the subscription program.
With that said, it got me thinking about some of the things in the previous subscription program that didn't seem to me to be quite up-to-par with the Logos counterpart (my perception).
- All the advance features and interactive resources seem to be identical 
- I recall getting a few "temporary" resources but not all of them were from the Verbum catalog (I think). In other words, I didn't feel that Catholic resources had some priority in the program. Maybe I'm mistaken. 
- Of the "temporary" resources each iteration it wasn't until I connected the dots that Logos users were receiving a coupon to purchase at a discount and Verbum users were not until this last iteration. Then when I asked about it in the forums, we ended up getting a coupon that was much appreciated. But I think we missed out on a few down the road. Maybe I'm mistaken again. 
Looking at the website (link above) I see similar branding and content that is on the Logos Now website. But, I'm not seeing everything, like the link to the Member-Only area. Perhaps the Verbum site is a work in progress.
My two big questions:
Can we have a Verbum Members-Only area that contained mostly resources more appealing to a Verbum audience? (Catholic, Orthodox, and Jewish catalogs and perhaps others.)
Can we make sure we are clear on the discount coupon (or equivalent) for the iteration resources should we choose to purchase a permanent license?

It's definitely a work-in-progress. The word "Logos" still appears sometimes when "Verbum" should, thanks to copying and pasting. Louis does so much good work--he needs more people helping him!

I haven't tried Verbum Now thus far, but seeing the revised features, I am considering it - not only for access to newer features, but simply to support further Verbum development.
A few questions for those of you who have subscribed: how does Verbum Now enhance your overall Verbum experience? What Verbum Now features do you find most useful? Now that you have it, would you recommend it?
This would be helpful not only to me, but also (no doubt) to anyone else who may be pondering this.
I first bought into Logos in the Pre-Libronix Era (just before the Cretaceous, if you're wondering). At that time, the only specifically Catholic resource they offered was the NAB. Logos/Verbum has come a very long way since then. There are always areas that could be improved, and bugs to be worked out. Nevertheless, Verbum is such an amazing thing, especially when I compare what I have now to what was there some twenty years ago. I want to encourage all who work for Verbum to keep at this ministry. I will support it to the extent that I can. (After all, there are always more great resources out there to add to my collection!)

I'm not a power user but I have found a few of the features helpful:
- Multiview resources
- Corresponding Notes and Highlights
- A couple of feature updates to the deuterocanonical books
- Pslams Explorer
I would encourage you to look through some of the videos that demonstrate these and most other features. There may be something there that interests you more. Here is that link:

I think the resource side of it has a big upside but is not quite there yet as far as the Verbum audience is concerned.

We've had Verbum preview resources every month since the launch of Verbum Now. (We'll put a page up soon that highlights these.) Verbum's catalog is much, much more limited than Logos's though (and our available staff for making arrangements with publishers is smaller), so we sometimes end up picking things you may already have through your base package or if Logos is featuring resources that I think might be of interest to Verbum users, I'll feature the same resources.

We were late in getting this going because, until recently, we didn't have an efficient way of delivering an exclusive discount. (And Brody's time was limited.) I'll put some thought into ways we can make up for that.

Some of the info on the logos.com members page (specifically, any resources automatically added to your library) won't necessarily apply to Verbum Now, and some of the resources they feature may not be things we want to advertise to a Catholic audience. However, the discounts available to Logos Now customers will generally be available to Verbum Now customers as well. (I'm hedging in case some reason arises for making something exclusive or distinct, but I can't think of any reason currently.)
We'll be creating an equivalent page on verbum.com or coming up with some other means of communicating the equivalent info to Verbum Now customers. Also, I'm hoping in the future to feature member discounts for items from the Verbum catalog.

We'll communicate this, but the coupon code hasn't changed for the Verbum resources.
Thanks for your patience. With the expansion of the Now subscription to cover the complete feature set, there's more reason than ever for having a distinct Verbum version, but because our catalog, staff, and user base are much smaller, it's a challenge to keep the distinct value offered in the Verbum product equivalent to what Logos can offer. Nonetheless, I hope that it does offer enough value to the Catholic customer to be worthwhile, and I'm hoping that, once I have some help with the marketing side of things (starting next week), we'll be able to start improving upon it.
