I'm really looking forward to seeing what new books are included this time. The website is not showing the new lineup of Base Packages. I'm curious to see the upgrade prices too
2am EST I'll check the website around 5am EST see if it's up again.

Nothing downloading for me except for an update to the Biblical Event Navigator...
Do I need NOW membership to download L7?

Yes, as an added benefit, Logos Now and Verbum Now users get early access (and a free upgrade) to Logos 7.

I am guessing (I could be wrong) that this release will "demonstrate" the benefit of Logos Now. Meaning, yes, you probably need Logos Now to download it. I don't see any major new features yet....still poking around.

I believe that without a Now membership you will download 6.14 automatically; with Now you will download 7.0. When the web site is up, it should have further information on upgrading to 7.0

I didn't see anything new on the QUICKSTART LOGOS 7.
The Quick Start is intended for users who are completely new to Logos, and covers the basic functions of the software. It doesn't describe the "new in 7" features in detail.
You should have received an updated Help manual with new documentation. And much more information will be posted online soon.

Man... the wait is killing me...
I have Logos 7 already, but I don't know what's new on it.. I have to play detective... weird.

I don't think everything is downloaded yet. When you run the searches in the documentation (I.e. {Section <SpeechAct = Info.:Quest.>} There are no results. It seems like a prerelease.....

Cool, thanks. Didn't see there's a new forum for L7.
Btw, here's a screenshot of what's new on resources for everyone who don't have LN. Bunch of temporary documentations.

I think the new website should be accessible early for Logos NOW members.. No? [;)]

For those who do not have Logos Now select the link and view the new datasets. https://community.logos.com/forums/t/129206.aspx

Remember that you likely need to wait for new data to index .... but try the following:
- anything new in interactives -- that's a been a common place updated
- anything new in documents - it's a longer shot but
- anything new in tools - that has been more modifications than brand new tools recently
- anything new in datasets - that tends to be where new search functions first show up ... although the search cookbooks also often give hints
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Logos 7 just installed. I'm looking forward to seeing what new base packages will bring.

Are you referring to logos.com (down for major update) or http://app.logos.com ? The last link is for those who have subscribed to Logos Now to view their library. It is still in beta.

The main Logos' website of course.
But I was just kidding, that would create a chaos for sales department.
Btw, I found what's new on L7 from here

if you already have it then you should know what you have except for books you have not purchased yet that are part of the new BP's lineup. Remember LN users already had access to L7's features.

In general yes, but some features are new in this release.
Sermon Editor, Bible Browser, QuickStart Layouts are some examples of things that haven't been seen in earlier Logos Now releases.

That would be cool, but I don't think we have the ability to do that presently. If you want to swing by the office, I can let you look at it on my computer.

Bible Browser
This looks very very very useful (and also, very slow, on my system).
I'm not seeing any documentation on it yet either in the program (I still have the L6 help file) or in the new L7 forum.

In the library look for "Bible Outline Browser"

No, the Bible Browser is different. It's under Tools. There's no documentation or thread for it yet, as far as I can see.

IIRC it is a server-side feature so the high volume may be affecting it.

Thanks. My help file didn't get updated, but I see another big update coming through, so hopefully it's there.
ETA: My Verbum Help file has updated. My Logos Help file hasn't since March 10.
ETA2: And, an "update resources" and restart took care of that. Both Help files are now updated.

Which technology is gonna be used for the live session?
I'm wondering whether there's any chance to cast it on TV...

We'll be streaming it via Faithlife TV. We don't have Google Cast support build into our apps yet. You can watch it on our iOS, Android, or Roku apps or on the web.

Will the live event be recorded for those that missed It?

yes

Neat. Thanks! Where would we go to watch the recorded version?

Most likely we will link to it on FaithlifeTV.com. But we'll post here with the final info for those of you who can't join us.

The video has just started on https://faithlife.com/logos-bible-software/activity or https://faithlifetv.com/media/358606 - it's currently showing a countdown timer and some audio tests.

Anyone else having trouble with the live stream. I can only get a couple of minutes worth before the connection seems to die.

I give up. I've always had these problems with Logos video serving. It insists on streaming high-definition, and my internet connection can't keep up.

Thanks for mentioning the iPad - getting through there but not getting anywhere on the laptop.

I know the feeling. I'm doing the free trial for FaithlifeTV and I like the programs I see but the streaming is soooo bad I doubt I'll sign up. The only way I could enjoy it would be to upgrade my Internet speed and pay more every month [:(]

Maybe like Youtube they need to offer 2/3 different streams of the same video. My speed is 30 Mbs and I am still timing out. This is with a computer that hard wired.
