Hit F8 to draw on the screen...
ESC exits the drawing mode, F8 clears the screen and stays in the mode. The mouse wheel rotates through pen colors.

I like that tool,Bob, as a pedagogical device. Are there any other hidden functions?

This is a hidden feature (in that it doesn't appear on menus yet), for users who present using Logos. ESC exits the drawing mode, F8 clears the screen and stays in the mode. The mouse wheel rotates through pen colors.
I don't get this, in what context of the program is it suppossed to work. I hit F8 and nothing happens, what am I missing ?

FWIW using Windows RDP to view and run Logos 4, hitting F8 causes some kind of system lockup, where any clicking anywhere only leads to a system beep. Hitting ESC to close it disconnects Windows RDP.
Solution: Don't attempt this while running Logos across a network. :-)
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

When you hit F8 your mouse cursor should change shape, and a message should pop up near the lower center of the screen (and then fade away). Clicking and dragging should draw on the screen.0 -
Ofcourse, Esc cancels the function. This scribbling allows one to add a touch of one's own emphasis or colour.

Thanks for the response Bob,Indexing has finally finished for me, so I can rule that out of the equation. When I hit F8 there is still nothing happening. No change to the mouse cursor, When I hit F1 help comes up so i dont think it is an issue with the funciton keys themselsves.
Does any specific type of panel need to have focus for this to work ?
Another thought, I am running XP SP3, is this something that will only work with VISTA or WIN7 ?

I'm running an XP SP3 and it works for me.

Thanks Alex and Fr Tony, that rules that out of the equation. I'll just have to wait for Logos to look into this ...

What video card do you have? What version are your video drivers? Do you have multiple monitors? If so, does your mouse cursor change when you move it to a different monitor (e.g., the drawing layer is appearing in the wrong place)? If you're brave, does updating the video drivers (to the latest ones from the manufacturer's website) fix the problem?

Hi Bradley,
Video card is REX Series VGA CARD R9600L with 128MB RAM (see screen dump for further details. I am using two monitors, mouse pointer does not change when moving between the two screens. I will download updated drivers and let you know if that makes a difference.
Thanks Andrew

For those using tablets, would love if these could remain or be saved some way, like marking in the margins.

I'll be interested in learning if it works with my Wacom Bamboo Fun stylus and tablet. Still waiting for the dvd, though.

Your on the money George, I had thought about and thought I had the FLock Key in the correct position but mea clupa I did not. Next keyboard I buy (problem is they don't seem break unless you spill coffee on them, or drop them from great heights or dorp something from a great height on top of them) I'll be a little bit wiser as this one has no inidcator as to what postion the FLock key is in (and neither caps lock for that matter) so the mea culpa factor does comes into play.

Ok now i've got this to work I've had a play around with it and like it. Since I am not specifically in a teaching scenario I probably will not use it as much as some but it is good to have available.
It maybe just me since I was never good at art or woodwork or the like so my fine motor control skills maybe lacking but found it a bit difficult to, say for instance circle something. If this could be improved that would be good (the application I meant, but if Logos can also improve my fine motor skills I'll be happy with that also ;-) ) One thought is that, say for instance you hold down CTRL key while drawing and it assists in drawing a smooth circle or say SHIFT while in drawing mode and it results in a straight line.
The other thing I noticed is that drawing mode only works on m primary monitor, regardless of which monitor the applicaiton is placed the drawing mode. I'm not sure if this is something that needs to be considered or is just a limitation of the older technology I have on hand. If its the later then that's fine, but if it is something that should be working let me know further information I can provide to assist in resolving, George, Bradley or whoever the helping hand maybe from Logos that reads this post.
