Bug: 7.3 Beta 4 Text Comparison change of resources

Changing location in Text Comparison can have automatic change of resources:

Anticipated Text Comparison to change to Genesis 1:1 using "Hebrew Text Comparison" instead of changing to a Greek New Testament set of resources.

Scrolling Text Comparison verses (using mouse wheel) can also change resources being compared

  • Changing location in Text Comparison can have automatic change of resources:

Logos 7.3 Beta 4 crashed after trying to change location to Genesis 1 for Hebrew Text Comparison (with updated MT PB from scanning instead of using upload)

Paging Text Comparison up in Joshua was working before location change crashed.

  • Logos 7.3 Beta 4 on OS X 10.10.5 can open Text Comparison from Favorites:

Click on arrow to scroll down changes resources for comparison (instead of scrolling down):

More surprising is the crash after clicking resources (first line in drop down menu appears briefly on screen before crash):

    Keep Smiling,

This should be fixed Logos 7.3 RC 1 (7.3.0.0025)

  • Logos 7.3 Beta 4 on OS X 10.10.5 can open Text Comparison from Favorites:

Logoa 7.3 RC 1 allowed me to open favorites and open Text Comparison, but has spinning sync arrows and cursor:

    so repeated => Bug/Regression: 7.2 SR-1 Sync on OS X 10.10.5 => Spinning Cursors & would not Exit Now on 27' iMac.

Suspect internet connection went down for awhile overnight since Mail had an account offline. However, quit Mail and relaunch allowed all accounts to be online.  Logos 7.3 RC 1 was launched on OS X 10.10.5 after Mail was online, but Logos 7.3 RC 1 has sync time out errors in Logos.log file plus console messages has:

13-12-16 7:35:50.907 AM com.apple.appkit.xpc.openAndSavePanelService[7382]: Layout still needs update after calling -[NSSavePanelAlertStyleContentView layout]. NSSavePanelAlertStyleContentView or one of its superclasses may have overridden -layout without calling super. Or, something may have dirtied layout in the middle of updating it. Both are programming errors in Cocoa Autolayout. The former is pretty likely to arise if some pre-Cocoa Autolayout class had a method called layout, but it should be fixed.

Since sync cannot complete, Text Comparison shows nothing.  Appears Logos 7.3 has a residual NS issue that needs Mac restart to correct.

  • Appears Logos 7.3 has a residual NS issue that needs Mac restart to correct.

Logos 7.3 RC 1 needed force quit so could restart 27" iMac.

Thankful for sync working, which allows Text Comparison to work so scrolling changes verses being displayed.

    Keep Smiling,

Just to clarify you are now able to see and use Text Comparison properly?

We do have an open case for network issues.

  • Just to clarify you are now able to see and use Text Comparison properly?

Yes. OS X user interface item is show base text indicator when showing differences. Windows UI has an outline box to show active while OS X does not.

We do have an open case for network issues.

When sync arrows spin, then Logos is effectively unusable on OS X 10.10.5
