Suggestion: Useful Sorting Order of Chinese Titles in the Library

Hi Logos,

I would like to suggest that you consider to improve the sorting order in the Library for Chinese Resources so that we can locate Resources a little more easily (see screenshot below where I sort by Title within sorting by Author):

Natural Chinese Numeric Order for Volume (1, 2, 3, 4 ...) 一，二，三，四 ... and not Volume (1, 3, 2, 4) as shown below
Another Natural Order 上，中，下（First, Middle, Last) Volume and not 上，下，中 (First, Last, Middle) Volume as shown below
Where there are resources that are available in Simplified and Traditional text, like in Bronze Package. Can we arranged it is such a way that the same word in Simplified and Traditional (which is visually different) be sorted next to each other. This will help me identify duplicated Resources in Simplified and Traditional, so that I can hide one of them.

Thank you for your suggestion. We already can let you to sort by different categories. You can left click on "Rank" "Type" "Title"...etc. (See my attached image circled in red) and the books will be sorted according to your suggestions in your post. I hope this will help you. Thank you.

For the third, just some wild thoughts

I think there are conversion algorithms to map Chinese (Traditional) to Chinese (Simplified) accurately word for word. But, I think the reverse may not be true, unless we have contextual information for accurate mapping.
So we can you use Chinese Simplified as a Base for Library sorting
By keeping a hidden/alternate field that holds the Chinese Simplified title of a Chinese Traditional Resource
When sorting a involving Chinese Traditional Resource, use the hidden/alternate Chinese Simplified title instead

PS: The other common thing between the Chinese Simplified / Traditional, if read in Mandarin is the Romanized PingYin form. so keep a hidden/alternate field that holds the PingYin name of both Chinese Simplified / Traditional Resources. When sorting Chinese Resources use this PingYin title instead. The beauty of this is when sorting ALL resources (ie. Chinese and English Resources) together, the sort order can be alphabetical, this sort order has better value to me vs the current order now, where ALL Chinese Resources are all thrown to the back of the list.

Note: Wild thoughts off the top of the head [:)]

Sorry, I missed your post after I replied to Bradley's post.

Sorting by "Ranking" is not a dependable way to get a predictable sort order that user can influence. If I recall correctly, ranking is influenced by things internal only to Logos as well as maybe User Resource Prioritization (I think?)

Just to illustrate using your example on my Logos Account with Resources that has Lang:Chinese: Green is what you have shown ... with the order we want, however, those in Red and Orange are not in the desired natural order.

It's ok. You are right. I realized after I posted it that by sorting with Rank does not solve the issue. We will work on it and see if we can make the order of the titles right. Thank you for taking time to find out these issues and help us improve the Chinese products.
