Result: "There is a problem in our checkout system. We are working to fix it now."
This problem started Tuesday night, after I'd successfully purchased another book. I had added "How to Read..." plus three other books to my cart and tried to place the order but got that error message. I waited an hour and tried again. Same problem. Left the books in my cart and waited a day. Same problem. Waited until yesterday. Still showing the error. I called Logos and told them about the problem and they offered to help me buy the books in question over the phone but I wanted them to fix the checkout page problem so I declined. They said they didn't see any updates mentioning that problem but it was evidently "still being worked on."
So today I finally tried to trouble shoot it myself. I emptied my cart, cleared all my vyrso cookies and logged in afresh, then added just one of those four books back to my cart (not this particular one) and tried again. Voila! It worked. So I thought it was just some glitch that had gotten into my cart Tuesday night and wouldn't let me check out by that by clearing the cart and cookies I'd fixed it.
So, happily, I put the other three books (including "How to Read...") back into my cart and tried to check out again. The same problem came back.
This time I removed "How to Read" and successfully bought the other two books.
Finally put "How to Read" back into the cart and tried to check out, and got this problem.
So there's a problem checking out with THIS particular book.
I'd rather see the checkout problem get fixed (there's something going on there) than have Faithlife help me purchase this book over the phone. I really couldn't care less about the book. It's one of those impulse purchases that I could take or leave, and I now plan to leave it.
