RAPED WHILE I SLEPT -SEXUAL DARK DREAMS - Todd Edward Davis
This book would be a good addition to VYRSO:
In this book, I share my physical and spiritual experiences, demonic encounters and revelations including, sexual dreams, coming face to face with the devil, how I was raped while I slept, and sex with demons. Even though Christianity was my faith, I wasn't living it during these experiences. This is to help open up your understanding with unlocking causes of spiritual rape and wet dreams. This may also help with christian dream interpretation, and to know dream meaning or meaning of dreams that you are having that needs to be answered. Demons are very real and I want to share my experience of entering into the devil's cavern from the underworld of darkness. Many people are reporting all around the world of being attacked by unseen forces while they sleep but don't understand what's happening to them. I will expose the devil. This should help you to analyze your life and to take daily inventory because, how you're living could very well be your biggest downfall. Whether you're married, single, divorced, involved in lesbian sex, or gay male sex, there is a sexual spirit demon that is involved. Many people are looking for free sex, but that will just get you a free ticket to hell!

The title is definitely get attention.

Sometimes some authors give far more information than is desirable for the wellbeing of the reader. Honesty is a great thing, but so is looking out for the welfare of those who may read such books. Given its title and the description, there may be a risk of leading people to mentally contemplate the details of sin or perhaps lead them to commit such sin.
I emphasize that I write this with some caution as I do not know the author nor have I read the book, but just going by what has been revealed here in the forum. Keep well Paul

Thanks Paul for your comments.
We are in an unprecedented spiritual war, and we need to be well aware of things like this. As many know on the forums, I was a practicing homosexual, who was delivered by the power of Jesus Christ in 2013. I experienced demonic encounters living in that life, and also after I was delivered from it.
Rabbi K. A Schneider has a good book on VYRSO titled "DO NOT BE AFRAID" in where he speaks of a demonic spirit, an incubus(male demon with wings) attacking him in his sleep; and these things do happen and are quite real. This book spiritually strengthened and encouraged me.
Now if you want to talk about an author giving information beyond information, just take a look at ROBERT A. J. GAGNON'S book "THE BIBLE AND HOMOSEXUAL PRACTICE. To me the information in that book is needed and I see nothing wrong with it.
In my autobiography, FULL CIRCLE AT GILGAL: DELIVERED AND SET FREE FROM HOMOSEXUALITY, I write about about the demonic experiences that I have encountered. My book is written very realistically, but with nothing explicit in it. Some peoples mouths did "drop open" so to speak, when they read it, but that is the way God had me write it - very realistically and to the point! I did not write the book; the Holy Spirit wrote it through me.
I respect your comments, and also like you, I do tread cautiously when it comes to reading any kind of books; because there is a lot of fake and fraudulent stuff out there. I let the Holy Spirit guide me to the books that God wants me to read, and for some reason He has guided me to this book. I understand your concerns and where you are coming from.
Thank you for your comments my brother in Christ. It has been good hearing from you.

Thank you Kenute as long as it wasn't too pricey I would defiantly give it a read as it does look interesting.

Hi Dan Francis
Thank you. The price of the book was only something like $6.69.
0 -
And at that price as am ebook I would get it... we just don't know what happens as I have seen lots of books that price range come in cheaper and i have seen them come in more expensive. I do think it would be a very good book to have in the the vyrso world. Not having read it I cannot say it is something I would agree with but it has an intriguing premise I think is well worth a hearing.

Thanks Kanute for your gracious comments.
I've no experience with the specific subject matter, but a little experience some years ago with ministering healing and deliverance. I see the value in Christians understanding how demonic oppression can arise and seeking assistance from Holy Spirit filled believers with ministry experience. God is good and I'm very heartened by your testimony of being set free from homosexuality. Hopefully many will be encouraged by what you've said to seek the freedom you have in Christ. God bless. No. This is not appropriate (or spiritually discerning, but that's probably a topic for the theological discourse forums).
(How is an ad for this book permitted on the forums?)

A request for Raped seems appropriate here Kenute and myself would most certainly disagree on many points of these topics. I do not wish to engage him but try to respect his view as a fellow brother in Christ. When does a book request end up in polemic that needs censure I can see that this thread could end up there is it there yet I will let others judge.

It is extremely off-putting and offensive. I will not direct men to these forums while it is present.
It is not a software question and not advertising a FL resource. It should be removed.

Thank you Dan Francis
This is merely a suggestion to VYRSO. It is not my intention to create arguments or a disturbance here in this thread. It has been a peaceful thread so far, and that is good. But I can honestly relate to what this Christian Author is talking about in this book, as I have had demonic encounters myself; so I have no problem with the title of this book. I can see where the title can be offensive to some people, but things of a demonic nature like this do happen. I respect everyone's comments on this thread, and I am asking you to respect mine as well, as a brother in Christ. Thank you.

Knute has every right to request a book. FL has every right to choose to carry it or not. You have every choice to buy it and read it or not.

I would take exception with this book's inclusion absent additional vetting and republication. I understand this is a testimonial work as well as a self-help book. So while my comment will clearly upset some folks, please prayerfully consider and responsibly research the following: 1--The book offers no permissions grant statements for the name-dropping of famous persons in situations (real or imagined, legal or criminal) of which those persons may not approve. 2--Associating known or famous persons with one's own experiences (plausible or not, legal or illegal) should be another red flag to the author and publisher. 3--The book saturatively covers the sin conditions, less coverage is given to the causes, the book closes with a victory fanfare to Christ for recovery. So, detailing the sin is understandable, if the ends justify the means. But a better visit states "how much shall we sin so grace can abound"? Or, "how much sin can I write about and hope that my appreciation of Christ's sanctifying process to victory will be learned"? 4--Despite strong claims attesting to the book's benefit, the author and book are conspicuously absent from topic-websearches relating to relevant articles, no comments about the criminal niche, no other web presence at all to partner, collaborate, or serve with any recovery groups, agencies, or entities - not even a blog post to any news articles (and there are many such reports) by the author or anyone who benefitted from the book and came through similar physical resolve and spiritual recovery. 5--Reviewing online book sellers, re-sellers, and reviews totals don't add up, for published work to sales to reviews totals stats. Reviewing the book's reviewing audience at online booksellers should also inform Logos' vetting process. 6--I found no strides made by the author toward serving his intended audience other than his social network profiles declaring the book's promise to detail the darkest of evil details with a lightswitch cure at the book's end. 7--For a fledgling publishing effort, fine. For the caliber library Logos offers and intends for it's spin-off libraries, this book would need editing and an age-appropriate rating. 8--The 13-digit ISBN (and depending on the ISBN identifier legend used), the author is Nigerian origin serving language nationalities of predominantly Arab, African, So. American, and Norway markets. Taking into consideration the book's topic, author's language or national origin (indicated by the book's non-USEnglish sentence structure), and some Christian spin-off doctrinal anomolies, too many doctrinal qualifiers and transparency or legal issues are still outstanding for this book to be inventoried with Logos.

Welcome to the forums. While this book has no place in my library, language or national origin should NEVER be considerations as to whether or not the book belongs somewhere in the Faithlife ecosystem.

I wanted to keep this a peaceful thread Dor Hale, but here we go again!
Nothing in your 8 points makes no sense to me. Maybe if you wrote it in plain English, it would. For example, in points 1 and 2, what in the world are you talking about?
None of this matters to me, because the Holy Spirit has guided me to this book for a reason. And just because, and am quoting you on point 4, "the author and book are conspicuously absent from topic web-searches" does not mean a thing. Are you saying the Author has to have a Website or Blogger? Really? You have got to be kidding me. Being a Christian Author myself, it would be up to me whether I wanted my own Website or Blogger, etc, etc. All of this is just a bunch of "petty" stuff to me, and I mean petty.
You have read about my own personal testimony in this thread, and I know these things of a demonic nature are real.
If the title of the book was phrased differently, would your thinking be different?
This sounds like a "Let's Go After Sarah Young Thing" to me, which Evangelicals are doing right now, for no reason at all.
Now my brother in Christ, I have tried to keep this as peaceful as I can. Thank you for your comments.
NOTE: THIS BOOK AS A 100%, 5-STAR RATING ON AMAZON AND AWESOME REVIEWS.

I think it would be safe to rely on Faithlife's own careful judgment to determine whether this book is appropriate to publish as part of the Logos or Vyrso family of books. As an independently published work, I've no doubt that the legal implications of its content including any attributions by the author would be examined as part of that process. There are always 'legal issues' outstanding when a book is first considered for publication.
On the question of the testimony itself, there are a variety of testimonies from all walks of life that are already published and available - some fairly confronting. Assuming this is a genuine testimony, Faithlife would have to make its own decision as to whether this is safe to publish and marketable. Personally, I would not buy this book (based on its description), but I can't dismiss the consideration that others may see benefit in it. I know that demonic attack on people is very real and often seriously discounted by conservative evangelicals (of which I am one) usually because of a lack of teaching and/or personal experience. It follows that some books on the topic can have an educative value.
I also agree with MJ's view that language and national origin should never preclude the publication of a book.
Keep well
Paul

A BIOGRAPHY OF TODD EDWARD DAVIS
Born February 21, 1972 at a very young age around 4, with attending vacation bible school, God had already called Todd Edward Davis to fulfill a large purpose in life. With opening up the book of Revelation 20 at the age of 5, Todd fell in love with the Word of God. Just a few years later he gave his life to Christ at a small store front church called Straight Gate under the leadership of Bishop Andrew Merrit at the age of 7 in Detroit, Michigan. While in class and while walking home from Bow elementary school, Todd had children on the street corners on their knees with hands lifted up praying to God while accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord. He then went on to his first bible school with taking Catechism classes at Bethesda Missionary Temple under the late Pastor James Beall where he was also baptized in the name of the Holy Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Todd backslid for a season but rededicated his life to Christ in February the year 2000 right after a motor vehicle accident on the way to New York City. He would meet a beautiful young born again woman who had a strong desire to know more about Christ. Just a year later in 2001, he would marry his bride. He then went on to Bible (layperson's) school at Word of Faith International Christian Center in Southfield, Michigan under Bishop Keith Butler. He also attended for many years, Perfecting Church under Pastor Marvin L. Winans. During his life he battled demons of all sorts including sexual spirits. He's had many dreams and revelations and now wants to share his experiences and battles to help others who are struggling with sexual demons and sin in general. Now he is determined to live out and fulfill God's purpose without turning back.
This refutes Dor Hale point #8:
8--The 13-digit ISBN (and depending on the ISBN identifier legend used), the author is Nigerian origin serving language nationalities of predominantly Arab, African, So. American, and Norway markets. Taking into consideration the book's topic, author's language or national origin (indicated by the book's non-USEnglish sentence structure), and some Christian spin-off doctrinal anomolies, too many doctrinal qualifiers and transparency or legal issues are still outstanding for this book to be inventoried with Logos.

Unfortunately MJ and you understood my pointing to the publication's original audience delimiter as bigotry, instead of a notation that publishers in the original nationality's and audiences will contrast in law and culture to US audiences and publishers. Best to you on your hopes to reach Americans through FaithLife. Pax

Sorry to misunderstand you. I don't think of Faithlife as being oriented to US audiences when one looks at Verbum and the non-Evangelical materials. Before I get it trouble with Evangelicals, I recognize that there is a long history of non-American Evangelicals but believe that there is a distinctly American Evangelical-Fundamentalist-Independent group which was a large share of the early Logos market.

This is one reason I am willing to give it a place in my Library.... The various library's of Logos have providing me with many books i strongly disagree with, I am fairly sure I would disagree with much of this book, but I am more than willing to give it a fair hearing. voices from different cultures can give us valuable insights to potential cultural blind spots. Is this a book I would recommend I do not have enough knowledge to say 100% no but likely it would be a nay.... that said it would come in at a reasonable enough price to offer a new voice to my Logos library. I could easily say judgemental things against this book based on biases (biases are not necessarily bad Western world has them towards liberty freedom of choice and equality), but it can be good to give others a voice, I have not even read it fully no would I pay a cent for it but I have a copy of mein kampf I have downloaded for the sake of trying to understand how hate and evil grew out of it. I do not wish to imply I would put this book on the same level of hate propaganda that is MK just that it can be important to study various texts in forming opinions and arguments.

Dan:
I admire your willingness to explore different issues and from different angles.
From my point of view, I would be interested in a deeper study of certain phenomena that could not be described as dreams, but seem to be actual experiences according to persons that had gone through it.
Possible causes, precipitating factors, is it places, objects, family history, persons or group of persons in the victims circles of influence?
Then also ways to help those experiencing such events, etc.
From a very basic reflection on what I have read, seen, heard:
1 if persons can truly experience Out of body experiences (OOB), then succubus or incubus could be:
Drugged or persons in altered state of conscience that disconnect their ethereal to: try to have encounters with other unsuspecting persons and probably to just look for another high (drugged ones), or to try to rob energy or acquire certain perceived abilities in the victim (usually occultists).
2 supposedly some victims have been sexually molested by what is perceived as extraterrestrial beings (EBE), with no stated purpose. Some make conjectures that as a part of a hybridization program.
3 the less common I would think, would be rape by demons, that could be considered the more serious, and in dire need to understand the dynamics of it and the root causes to prevent recurrence.
The actual minute details of the event maybe are not as important for general readership, as an understanding of the root causes and how one can help someone (or oneself) if in a case like one of the above.
FL has offered very good books on the exploration of life after death events, so the study of the above phenomena (more from a scientific and spiritual side) would be welcome by many. Again the minute details of the assault would probably disgust many so they could be left out unless it was a case of a more detailed serious study that could be provided for the finding of patterns and if they respond to the mental states or similar in the victims.
My 2 cents.
