Sermon Recording issues

We are using the previous week's files as a template for the current week's services. We rename the duplicate files to the current week. The slide and song changes in and out are reflected in the new file properly.

However, this week, with the audio in and out markers correct, the current sermon didn't record on either service, and only last week's published sermon was available. We did pass the markers rather than jumping over them. Using a Mac for presentation.

What're we doing wrong????

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry that happened. Can you tell us the name of the presentation this happened with? I see one named Feb. 5, 2017 11:00 AM that has three recordings of which two are zero seconds long and the middle is 29 seconds long. Can you go to Help>Save Log files, and post them here? It's hard to know what may have caused Proclaim to not pick up the audio during the sermon, as there might be a number of layers between the microphone and Proclaim, but the logs may help.

There is a test recording option in Settings>Audio. You will see an option to record a sample. Do that before service and pay close attention to any hardware or settings changes once you've confirmed Proclaim is recording the audio

Our issue was a simple one. We use a Presonus board. When we set up the audio with the board on, we can access the firewire input. However with the board off, Proclaim defaults to "line in". So the fix is simply to be sure the board is on and check the default to be sure it hasn't shifted to line in.

One of those things that has you scratching your head for a while. Thanks to those who responded.
