Hi,
We started using Proclaim recently and have had one recurring issue which I have been observing and can now confidently replicate. It involves the playback of video files where a still image (the first frame) is shown and the video fails to play. This also affects video backgrounds in song items.
The trigger for this condition is the use of edit mode. I note a similar thread here https://community.logos.com/forums/t/140614.aspx although I discovered the problem occurring first when NOT live.
In summary then, our presentations usually involve various elements but include some songs with video backgrounds and some mp4 videos (usually 1 or 2). I have no problem with playing any of these elements until I edit something in the presentation. Now if I go live again none of the video elements play, but everything else is OK. If I quit Proclaim at this point, the proclaim.exe process keeps running after the window closes. It uses 17% CPU (on a processor with 6 cores, so that's one core at 100%), and memory usage is way higher than normal (>200 Mb, if I recall correctly). I have to terminate that process in order to restart Proclaim, and at that point everything runs fine.
When the video is not working, the preview of the video on the main monitor also freezes.
I note that I cannot replicate this on my home computer, so this seems to be an issue specific to our media computer.
The machine in question runs Windows 7 and is up to date with SPs and patches. It runs 2 video cards driving a monitor and 2 projectors. Proclaim is also up to date, but this problem was observed with versions going back 8 weeks or so (since we started using Proclaim)
I have attached log files from a recent example. Let me know what else you need.
I look forward to getting this one sorted out!
Thanks,
Alan
