Post your free LN book recommendations here. There are over 3000 titles we might as well pool our knowledge.
Here are my offings:
Bavinck's The Philosophy of Revelation: https://www.logos.com/product/4142/the-philosophy-of-revelation
J.C. Ryle's Holiness: https://www.logos.com/product/15598/holiness-its-nature-hindrances-difficulties-and-roots
Great idea!
Here are a few from my "LN Freebies" wish list:
I was so irritated with myself when I missed this one on CP - well, here's a second chance at it, but for all of $0.00: Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable (2 vols.)
All I can say is booyah!! thank you Faithlife!! [:D]
Notes from My Bible: From Genesis to Revelation
I think this link is broken...

Thanks for pointing out that broken link. Fixed!
I grabbed Vos' The Pauline Eschatology and saw a few classics that I put in my wishlist for next month.
I picked up this one https://www.logos.com/product/3803/a-harmony-of-the-life-of-st-paul.
This dictionary https://www.logos.com/product/6388/dictionary-of-the-bible I was going to get when it was on pre-pub, but had to opt out. Now I have enough dictionaries, so I passed.

I only looked at what's new to me, which came to about 23 pages. There's a lot of good stuff here for those who are into systematic theology. Just with what is on offer now, at one book a month it will take me about 2 years to get just the ones I briefly considered.
Even though most are PD, many are good to have: Berkhof, Warfield, and Shedd. They're very formative for American Reformed theology and still very useful even if you don't come from that perspective. (Berkhof's works are excellent for quick referencing, and Warfield's a brilliant thinker.) Also, many of these titles frequently feature in base packages and library bundles. So, if you pick them up for free here, you can potentially get a discount via dynamic pricing in a future base package purchase. (That's why you should about always take the FBotM, even if you're not particularly interested in it.)
For this month, I chose a volume related to a project I'm working on from Francis Hall's Dogmatic Theology. (He was Episcopalian.) That took about $9 off the complete set. From the Roman Catholic side, there are volumes from Pohle's Dogmatics. Again, picking those would possibly help with the pricing of a Verbum package, though a few of his volumes have come up from time to time as the Verbum FBotM.
This monthly free book offer has, in my view, greatly enhanced the value of Logos Now, and I'd recommend to just about anyone to subscribe to it.
I'm planning on slowly whittling my way through the works of John Owen.
Some of the ones on my list are:
John Owen's commentary on Hebrews has been on my wish list for a while. Being 7 volumes it'll take care of my next 6 months choices as well. https://www.logos.com/product/8087/an-exposition-of-the-epistle-to-the-hebrews-vol-1
The Qur'an (Arabic)
Me too, but does anyone know if this will work in the right click menu, or information panel to look up arabic words in our Arabic lexicons?
A Key to the Classical Pronunciation of Greek, Latin, and Scripture Proper Names
Where can I find this list? I have Logos Now, but haven't heard of this. Where are all these titles at?
here you go Liam

You should have received a Logos Now email about the (web app and) free books (although some members apparently didn't). It was also discussed on the forum.
Thanks guys!
No email. Is the deal that I can choose one of these books to purchase? Or is it more than one?
Oh, and is there a deadline?

One free book per month. Once you choose from one of the free books, the remaining ones will show up at their regular price for the remainder of the month. When the next month rolls around, they will again appear as $0.00 and you can choose another free book.
No, and no coupon required either. From the email, "Each month, Logos Now members will get to choose a free book from a pre-set list, to keep permanently!"
We're told that FL will be adding to the list. Right now, it's about ~3300 books to choose from (depending on which books you already own, as some of these appear in base packages).
Oh, and is there a deadline? No, and no coupon required either.
No, and no coupon required either.
I don't think that is true. I assume that (yes!) there is a deadline. The assumption should be that if you do not select a book a given month, you have lost your ability to select a book (for that month). I would assume that is true unless you hear otherwise from FL.
I'm not seeing how to get these? It looks like it will charge me full price? Is there definitely no code? I am a Now subscriber.
John, I suppose we have to wait for a logos employee to respond to some of these types of questions. Hopefully after the holiday we will hear something, but this was my same confusion.
Absolutely! Make sure to choose a free book each month!
I had taken their question to mean, "Does the free book program end at some point (like a sale)?" No, it's not a limited time program. As far as we know, it's indefinite until FL changes the benefit. That's why I had answered "No."
I'm not seeing how to get these?
If you already snagged one this month, it will show up as full price. Did you get any freebies this month? Did you cross reference to see if they were on the list?

That was my initial thought too when I read John's predicament Alabama - had John already unknowingly snagged his free resource for the month because before FL got everything up and running correctly, there was a time when at least some of these resources were showing up as free on the weekend. And then after a while they stopped showing up as free before they came back up as being free again once FL got everything sorted out.
Your assessment makes sense to me. I most likely snagged a free resource unknowingly before everything was up and running correctly.
That's what happened to me. I saw a freebie in my wish list and snagged it. But I'm content to wait until next month to grab my #1 choice.
You can check your order history.
Thanks FL. Great benefit, Dale Heath

How can I filter the list so that I only see those books that are new to me?

Add &unlocked=no to the end of the URL
Follow this very handy link.
Many thanks. I better bookmark this page!
I just saw this thread now. I’m a LN subscriber.
All the books are showing normal price for me. And when I add any to the cart, it shows I will have to pay full price if I check out.
I already have the normal Free Book of the Month: July that is for all Logos users.
Is this monthly LN Free Book an additional free book to the Monthly Free Book of the Month for all Logos users?
That is, if you are a LN subscriber are you going to be having 2 free books each month?
Yes. This is unrelated to the "free book of the month" that all users get.
All the books are showing normal price for me.
Can you review your purchase history? Have you purchased any other books since, say, June 25? If so, which ones?
Thanks for your response Alabama24.
My purchase history shows the following:
From 25th June – 6th July I have downloaded the following:
Further: 1st – 24th June:
No. It was free.
Then you have already received your free book and everything is working as expected.
Thanks i just got one of these > https://www.logos.com/product/5219/g-k-chesterton-collection
I have eight more for the set.
I grabbed Edersheim on exodus
https://www.logos.com/product/38768/the-exodus-and-the-wanderings-in-the-wilderness
I took Syriac grammar https://www.logos.com/product/27105/syriac-grammar
I am not particularly recommending it, but I just thought that I could use it in case I have to decipher something some day. It's free anyway [H]
I still can't decide...hmmmm
No. It was free. Then you have already received your free book and everything is working as expected.
Thanks [Y]
Does anyone know if there is a way to filter out of this list resources you already own?
Adding &unlocked=no to the end of the URLworks for any store search, not just the LN freebies.

Awesome! Thank you!
You can't go wrong with anything written by Spurgeon.
Where can I find the list of the books from which I can choose?

This comes from a collection on my wishlist. Over 9 months I can get the entire collection free.
How are the works by John Owen?
