Installing New Resources

I had a new resource that had not yet been installed, so I put it in my drive and the update ran. It appeared that the license and other data were successfully installed.

I then ran Logos v4 and nothing. I don't see a Location Manager, I don't see a place to install the serial number for the unlock. nada, zip.

I checked the FAQ and the known issues, and don't see this addressed.

Does this mean if I want to see my books unlocked with the old logos 2.1 and not via (or included in) base package I bought & activated for Libronix. I have to sync my lic in libronix 3 with the logos server inorder to get v4 to see the files?

Yes, you do. There is no direct upgrade from LLS 2.x to Logos 4.

I didn't expect a upgrade from v2 to v4, bnut now know why I miss some of my resources in v4 [:)]

There is also no direct upgrade from v3 to v4? It must be via the logos server?

Yes, that is correct: instead of trying to find and read the LDLS3 license file off  your computer, all your unlocks and activations have already been recorded on a logos.com/libronix.net server so Logos 4 downloads them when you log in.

  • Good Morning Bradley,

How do we install new resources in v. 4?? And, yes, I think I understood where you were coming from with regard to the prepub downloads. But, when v3 goes away, there's got to be a way to make that happen in v.4, and I'm just not seeing it yet.

But, I've still got some new resources to install (e.g., Black's NT commentary). I put the CD in the drive, it does the "update" process and says it's installed the licenses, and other stuff. Then, I start Logos 4 and I wait, and I wait, and I (well, you get the idea). There's never an opportunity to type in the unlock code. There's never a screen to install the resource to the hard drive.

Oh, sure, I can go back over to v. 3, but I don't see that there's any way of installing new software/resource in v.4

Am I missing something?? Are well, perhaps still an Alpha, rather than Beta, where features will be added as we go along? Just asking ;-)

Elsewhere Bob indicated that would be added in the next phase of the beta.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
