What Sermon Collections would you like to see added from the Pentecostal/Charismatic Tradition?
Hey All,
This forum has been pretty quiet lately, so I figured I'd ask those interested, which pastors/ministers would you like to see have their Sermons added as a collection? Is there anyone you think that should be added that represent a penrecital and charismatic background?

Absolutely! He'd have to be at the top, or at least right near the top, of Pentecostal ministers who actually do have printed/digital sermon material readily available!

Seems like Jack Hayford would be a given, with his material already in Logos? Aimee Semple McPherson would be an neat set of sermons and probably of interest, with her founding Foursquare and all. Maybe John Wilber as well?
With Jesse's request of Jentzen Franklin, would there be any interest in other "popular" pastors? (IE - Willie George, Brian Houston, Steve Furtick, TD Jakes, etc.)? Speaking of McPherson, I saw Miles McPherson (no relation to Aimee [;)]) is still in prepub. I am unsure if he classifies as "charismatic/pentecostal", though. With his set taking a while in pre-pub, my thinking is that maybe there is not as strong a desire for this? On the other hand, DA Carson's Sermons took a while to get into production, and he is a pretty beloved figure around Logos' customer base.
Looking at the question, I can think of so many different facets of the Pentecostal/Charismatic camp and how wide the net spreads. I pastor in a non-denomination, charismatic context, so I'm definitely curious to hear what preachers/theologians would be great to have collections gathered from a more Pentecostal-denominational setting.

There are lots of good suggestions here. A couple points of note. there is such a thing as being reformed/pentecostal. calvinist/pentecostal, etc. i am not sure what definition is given to pentecostalism for this context, but there are already some great sermon archives already available (too). perhaps instead of pentecostal, "full" gospel (not related to any organization, but a general term,) or a theological representation - non-cessationist.
hehhehe just sayin...0 -
Creflo Dollar, while almost universally labelled a prosperity preacher, has consistently for years preached a charismatic/faith filled message. While I always enjoy the spiritual depth of Jack Hayford I believe Creflo Dollar would give us "name it claim it" folks a satisfying all encompassing palate that is served well by Kenneth Copeland, T.D. Jakes, Jerry Savelle, and Jesse Duplantis. Another Pentecostal preacher I enjoy is John Hagee.

You do have a point! I remember years ago hearing about a "Spirit-Filled" Catholic church, so on one hand, we Pentecostal/Charismatics seem to be a squirrely bunch that are found in a little bit of every nook and cranny of Christendom. I wonder if creating this Traditional Package was more difficult that I/we realize?
I know even some of Charles' recommendations would be seen as undesired by some, but really wanted by others. I wonder if the Lutherans have these same challenges? Lol.
At the very least, I'm glad we non-cessationists/spirit-filled/full-gospel/holy-roller/etc.etc.etc are on the radar of Logos' dev team. Prayers for further development and focus.

There definitely are charismatic Catholics ... certainly some in our parish.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

We're everywhere! I grew up Catholic and loved talking about the Lord with my devout Catholic Grandparents. Maybe I could still be counted in as one. [;)]

Hey Richard, [:)]
I'd love to have Derek Prince & Peter Wagner, though I'm not sure if their ministry ever convert their sermons into texts.

Mike
Derek Prince Ministries has some great materials, books - etc.

I also like the idea of the "non cessationists" classification until I started with Logos I was unaware of the differrent boxes everyone was choosing to identify their religous bent. - Oh how we love to complicate our faith in Jesus.
