A WOW-Tool to translate your Texts
Hi folks, today I have a tip:
As a German pastor who uses the Logosbibel in English, a translation program is sometimes very helpful.
Very often there are situations when I need a devotion or an outline, but many of my books are only available in English.
This is where "QTranslate" comes into play. It is a free utility program that accesses nine onlinetranslators, which I can select by button.
Although I normally type my English texts without help, I have entered this text directly into QTranslate for demonstration purposes. Currently I selected "Google Translate", but I could also take Bing, Prompt, Babylon, SDL etc.
The result is very impressive.
In addition, QTranslate can be used as a dictionary. If I do not understand a foreign word, for example, in a text, I select it and choose ctrl + q. Voilá, the translation already appears.
QTranslate translates all languages that are common in the nine translation programs. I mean this free tool is simply WOW!

As I said, I have translated this text from the German language into English with QTranslate. The result is really useful, I think.

Thanks Hermann! That's such a useful tool!
I wonder if there's a similar tool such that when you select text on a web page or in a program (e.g. Kindle Reader on Windows), that will convert Bible references into Bible text in a Bible translation version of your choice (I imagine the "translation services" buttons at the bottom of the QTranslate screen become buttons for NIV, NASB, ESV, NLT, CUV, RCUV, etc).
Is anyone aware that such a Windows tool exists?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Gao Lu and Peter,
thank you for your kind reply. Peter, there ist a website, which compares a lot of different bibletranslations in Englisch, Spanish, Portugese, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Chinese. I think, it is quite helpful.
Here you go ...
http://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-versions/
http://www.biblestudytools.com

The Site also has Dictionaries, Concordances, Lexicons etc. ...
The best translation programs you can buy translate web pages directly into the desired language.
"Prompt Home" costs about $ 57 and makes it apparently very good. Here are other good solutions:

A program, which convert Bibeltexts directly into good translations, I do not know yet. For Bible translators, however, there are very useful tools, - for example:
Possibly, it is too special for your purposes ...I hope I could help!
enjoy! Hermann

Hello Peter, meanwhile I have researched again, if there is a program, which converts Biblereverences automatically into Verses.
The best program seems to be reftagger. To get a desired Bible translation, you can select it beforehand on the reftagger webpage. The program is for people who want to run a blog or link their own homepage with Bibellinks.
Here is the link to "Reftagger":An alternative still seems to be "VerseClick". A comparison of the two programs is here:

Thanks. I'm looking for something that will work with any program, not just web pages.
Appreciate your research and willingness to help.

Hermann,
I found the solution I'm looking for: the "Clipboard Monitoring" function in TheWord program (theword.net). See if that's helpful to you too.
Thanks,
Peter

Thank you, Peter. I checked it out and it works great. The only Problem in German is that we have another countsystem. We count Joh 3,16-17 and you count John 3:16-17. But it doesn´t matter. The clipboard monitor is a helpful tool.
Have a nice day,
