5.16.2 Reading Plan Bug
Hello,
If the current reading is the chapter before the last in a book of the Bible, i.e., Ephesians, and you mark the reading as done, the following anomalies occur in the last reading of each chapter:
- Two column mode is disabled. Also, swiping forward and backward displays only single columns
- The end marker is not displayed. Workarounds have to be used to mark the reading as done, i.e., mark it done in the reading plan document or in the Logos desktop app.
- Not sure if it's related or is a separate issue, but two-finger scroll skips pages at a time rather than lines.
I'm not sure when this issue started, but it's been there for a few releases now.
Relevant settings:
Max columns - Auto
Scroll view - Off
Device info:
Model - Google Pixel C
Android version - 7.1.2
Thanks,
Dan

Another related behavior is the following:
After finishing current reading that is the last reading of a chapter in the Bible:
- Immediately open the corresponding reading plan document from the Documents view
- Mark the current reading as read
- Press the system back button
When you are returned to the Reading view, it reverts back to the expected 2-column view and you are on chapter 1, verse 1 of the next book.

This is still an issue in the Bible app (Android) v5.16.3 (Build 516031314).

Dan - I am not an android user, so I can't help trouble shoot on my side. I don't know if I understand your issue(s). Here is what I think you are saying:
- When using a bible reading plan, when you come to the last reading of the day, the app switches from two columns to one.
- The "mark read" button isn't displayed.
- Two finger scroll doesn't work as expected.
Has your experience been that all three of these issues ONLY occur when in your last section of reading for the day? If you want two columns, why do you have "max columns" set to auto, instead of two?
I do know that multiple column preference can switch to a single column if there is some sort of artifact (i.e. text box, title, etc.) within a reading.

Not quite. The two finger scroll issue occurs in any resource whether a reading plan is in context or not. The other issues occur when the current reading is the last reading of a book of the Bible. For example, in the next couple of days, my reading plan has two readings for Titus:
- Titus 1:1-2:10 (displays as expected, i.e., 2 columns and end marker will be displayed)
- Titus 2:11-3:15 (switches to 1 column and end marker will not be displayed)
If you want two columns, why do you have "max columns" set to auto, instead of two?
It's set to Auto because it's the default for Max columns and it's always worked as expected until recently. I've switched it to Two, but switched it back since that didn't fix the problem.
Thanks,
Dan

Just an update.
The reading plan/two-column issue was fixed in 5.17.1 (Build 517010094).
Although the current reading was Revelation 3, which was past the locations where the problem occurred, I went back and marked as unread all readings from 1 John 4:20-5:21 forward. All of these readings were the last or first and last readings of the letter. I then marked each reading as Done one by one and verified that the issue has been fixe.
Thanks,
Dan

There is one more isssue:
The very last reading in the New Testament, Revelation 22, has a begin marker, but no end marker.
